Diana bit at the skin on her knuckles, a habit that came about when she was feeling more anxious than normal. She wasn't sure when she had started doing it, but when she caught herself, it was a signal that she needed to calm down. A lot had been going on in the past week that seemed to culminate to now.

She had made plans with Ominis' to sneak into the Gaunt manor on Christmas Eve to break out the cursed animals held captive there. There wasn't much that she could apparently do about that now though. He had told her he would play her way in and out, seeing as she'd never been before, and they would meet up closer to the date to finalize everything.

She had thought his idea was brilliant, but now that she knew about it, she was antsy. She felt like a bit of a mess as she tried to mentally prepare herself for the event over three months away. She would have liked to go sooner, but there would be no way to get in without her friend's help, and he wasn't expected there until the holiday. So now she had to wait and just continue her research, making her feel like she was settled in an uncomfortable limbo.

On top of their plans, this week had also been the start of the school sanctioned dueling club. She had to go through more than one uncomfortable situation trying to explain to her friends why she couldn't participate. She also had to physically hold Sebastian down when he had threatened to confront Professor Hecat about the decision. Thankfully Ominis came to her aid and the two of them were able to subdue him enough to only giving their teacher death glares all through Defense Against the Dark Arts.

She had felt quite miserable about being left out of the dueling, but it bolstered her a little to have her friends upset on her behalf. Ominis hadn't been so brazen as the other Slytherin boy in his response, but still shared some very choice and colorfully descriptive words about the students who had initially complained to the professor.

Poppy had been told by Lucan after they had talked, and had helped comfort her that same day. Natty and Garreth had also decided, along with everyone else, to also not compete. Diana was grateful for her friends, feeling like the isolation from before wasn't as terrible as it had previously been. Unfortunately all of her friend's attempts to support her had led to her feeling extremely guilty for leaving Lucan without more support.

Now to top off a very uncomfortable week, it was the first quidditch match of the season for Slytherin. She was excited for Sebastian to finally get to play a game, but couldn't help but feel a terrible foreboding about the event. She nipped at her skin again, trying to focus on something else as she walked with Ominis towards the stands. The blind boy must have sensed how she was feeling because as they walked he reached over to her, following her arm until he reached her hand, and brought it down in a tight hold. She squeezed back, grateful for the distraction.

Today's match was against Raveclaw, and when they made it to the stands there was much more blue than there was green. It seemed to be a pattern that Slytherin received less support from the other houses, Diana could understand why, but she didn't relate. She herself was wearing a set of the girl's Slytherin uniform that Imedla had let her borrow. The intense girl had approached her, offering it for her to wear to the game. She had accepted, assuming it was a gesture of good blood between them. Diana was so relieved that she didn't hold anything against her, and even warranted her cheering them on today. Clad in green she made her way over with her friend to sit with the other snakes.

She watched as the players readied themselves to play, doing some of the basic drills Sebastian had tried to teach her and Natty to do. She had started to scan the players looking for her friend when someone plopped down beside her and squeezed her arm. She recoiled, pulling her arm away and turning to face the person- then broke into a huge grin. Before her was a green covered Poppy and next to her was Lucan; also decked in green but seemed a little less excited than his partner to be there.

"Poppy!!" She cried in delight "I didn't realize you would be supporting Slytherin today!"

"I go where my best friend goes. If you are cheering on these snakes then so am I" she cheered, then she gestured over to Lucan "And he asked to sit with me at the game, so I don't think he quite realized what he was getting into."

"I have no issues supporting Sebastian" The boy cut in, face turning a bit pink "It's just- warn me if any Griffindors come this way alright?"

Everyone laughed, including Ominis who gave a light chuckle. Diana felt her heart lighten even more, feeling excited for whatever this game was going to bring.
