Chapter 127: Targets and Vows

"....." Shiro is seen holding the bow with an arrow attached. He focuses on the target for a while before releasing. The arrow then successfully hit the red spot on the target. "Ooooh 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀! As expected of Shiro-senpai! I see you've set another 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 this week." Tsukasa said.

"....This will be the last though. After graduation I won't have many chances to do this." Shiro said. "That's true. Since you're going to graduate soon I'd like to use this time to ask you this question." Tsukasa said. "....?" Shiro tilts his head curiously.

"Shiro-senpai I know you only transferred here a few months ago due to circumstances back at Reimei Academy. I won't ask for the details because it'll be rude to your 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 but I've heard that the Archery Range was your first 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 when you were to decide on which club to join." Tsukasa said.

"...What about it?" Shiro asked. "While I am happy I wish to ask, why did you chose this club? There were many others you could have chosen from." Tsukasa asked. "....It's not a big deal. I merely took an interest in archery. When I had to choose a club to join the Archery Range Club caught my attention. I've never done it before so I thought it'll be a good experience to try it out, that's all." Shiro said.

"Eh? That's all?" Tsukasa asked. "That's all." Shiro said. "...I see I didn't expect it to something 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 but it seems like I've learnt something new about Shiro-senpai today." Tsukasa said. "...Enough with that. In fact I have a question of my own to ask." Shiro said. "...? Hai what is it?" Tsukasa asked. "...Suou are you aware of ES Academy?" Shiro asked. "Yes I'm aware. And I'm not sure how to respond exactly to this." Tsukasa said with a sigh.

"While I am particularly fine with just the name change I don't really like the fact they want to change everything the whole school and erase all non-idol activities. Which means the chances of the Archery Range Club getting removed is high and I don't like it." He added. "...So you're basically on the objection side." Shiro said.

"...Well I suppose you could look at it that way." Tsukasa said with a sweatdrop. "Shiro-senpai what about you?" He then asked. "...I'm mostly on the acceptance side. It's not like I like how ES Academy is going to make but unlike you all I only transferred here months ago and even if I had fun I didn't make as many good memories as the rest of you here." Shiro said.

"Ren has every reason to object since he's still going to study at Yumenosaki next year but I'll be gone soon. So if you want to object then fine I don't have the rights to stop you. Just don't expect me to be as upset as you." He then said. "Of course I won't force you to. Especially because you're my senior. Doing it will be rude of me." Tsukasa said.

"Although I really wished you would talk to more people in the club. You've only been talking to Fushimi-senpai and me. Yet when the juniors needed help with their aiming you did it without even opening your mouth. Shiro-senpai you need to be more 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹." He then said with a sigh.

"...Yeah that ain't happening. Why would I talk to people I have completely no relations with? I've said it before. I'd rather be alone." Shiro said. "And I will not let it happen even if Fushimi-senpai and I are the only two people you can talk to. I get that you're the type who would usually say 'please continue as if I don't exist' but I, for one, as the Ou-sama of 𝗞𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 vowed to make you smile and talk to others more one day!" Tsukasa said.

"....Since when did you make such a ridiculous vow?" Shiro asked with a sigh. "How mean! I've been trying to do that since we became dormmates!" Tsukasa said. "...Oh is that so? Good luck with that." Shiro said as Tsukasa merely pouts. ...Make me smile huh? He then thought.

...Yuugiri-senpai said that but in the end before he even had the chance the unit disbanded. Many people have tried the same thing but technically failed. Well I suppose Suou is one of the few people who managed to make me smile even if it's a little and even if they didn't see it though. He then thought.

"...Really though you don't have how to force yourself to make me smile. It's not like there's a reward for it." Shiro said with a sigh. "No I beg to differ. Having you smile genuinely in front of us is the happiest thing we could get. After all it is 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲 for that to happen." Tsukasa said.

"...Suit yourself then. Do whatever you want." Shiro said. "Hai I'll do that. That aside I have a farewell favor to ask of you." Tsukasa said. "....?" "Shiro-senpai I challenge you to a 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵!" Tsukasa said with a smirk. "...iiya wait. First of all it's just graduation. We're dormmates so we'll see each other every day. And second, a succession match? I'm not even the president." Shiro said with a sigh.

"To me you're the better one. Your aiming and shooting skills are even better than our current president. Then again I just want to go against you for once." Tsukasa said. "...Then say that from the very start." Shiro said with a sigh.

"...But fine I don't have intentions of declining. Suou Tsukasa, I accept your succession match. I won't hold back just because you have more experience in archery." Shiro said. "Hai that's what I wanted to hear! I won't hold back as well so bring it on!" Tsukasa said as the two get ready for the friendly match.
