"Ahaha! Somehow we're just chatting normally now huh? Despite our earlier tension." Subaru said. "Isn't such bickering a daily thing for us?" Hokuto asked with a sigh. "Come on we've hardly argued lately. It's not like when we were second years around the time of SAKURA Fes we fought all the time." Subaru said.
"True. It even made Yuuki worry about us. How nostalgic." Hokuto said. "But since last year's SS we've barely had any arguments. You've always had my back and let me do what I wanted. Even when everyone else frowned at me you were the only one who defended me and listened to me." Subaru noted.
"You protected me. Encouraged me. Agreed with me and took my hand, walking forward together. Stop it Hokuto." He then said with a frown. "....." "Ne. Do I look that pitiful to you? Did you think I was some fragile thing that would fall apart without your protection?" Subaru continued.
"If you did I'll say it as many times as it takes. Stop it. You're the last one I'd want to be looked down on by." He then added with a sigh. "...I'm sorry. Maybe you don't even want this apology from me Akehoshi." Hokuto said.
"I know this might sound like an excuse but that was never my intention. I just wanted you to keep smiling. I love your smile." He then said. "Hokke you really can say things like that so easily I should take notes." Subaru said.
"The trick is to be true to your heart." Hokuto said. "Because of that do you realise how much trouble it caused everyone around you?" Subaru asked with a sigh. "I do try and reflect on it. But I don't regret it." Hokuto said. "You're hopeless." Subaru said.
"But that's what I love about you Hokke." He then said with a smile. "You're just as casual with your words." Hokuto said. "Well I've had some practice. I told Anzu and Itorin something similar the other day." Subaru said.
"What? You dare have a head start Akehoshi? Not to mention you dragged Takasaki into this? I won't forgive you!" Hokuto said. "There's nothing romantic. Telling someone important to you whether a friend or family member that you love them is perfectly normal." Subaru said.
"Saying 'thank you' and 'I love you' is something you can never say too much right? Say it while you still can. Is it unfair for me to say that?" He then said. "...Yeah it's unfair Akehoshi. Someone like me who's been lucky enough to have parents who are still alive and love me, can't argue with that." Hokuto said.
"That's my trump card against you Hokke. But seriously Hokke you're so kind despite that serious face. Even though you act oblivious and dense you're always looking out for me, worrying about me. Back when we were first years when I was all alone you were trying to help me." Subaru said.
"I noticed when you tried to help with the class rep duties that I got stuck with. The Venus Cup really brought us closer but I felt your attention on me even before that. You've been kind and considerate from the moment we met until now." He added.
"Stop it. Maybe it's just the graduation season getting to me but I feel like I'm gonna cry." Hokuto said. "Yeah. I guess I'm only saying all this because I'm caught up in the mood. Our unit members are all the same age so we'll be leaving Yumenosaki together." Subaru said.
"Even after graduation we'll still be together. That's why though this whole ordeal was tough I'm glad we had this little falling out I can't explain it well but if we'd keep bottling everything up and kept going like before it probably would've blown up at the worst possible moment. Like when we first stood on the SS Stage." He added.
"I'd rather share how I really feel with you than go through that again. We're, in the end, different people so we can't share absolutely everything but we can hold each other's hands, walk forward and share happy moments together. And with you all I believe we'll keep having those happy moments." He then said.
"You know it might not seem all that special but even this is a kind of miracle. Thanks to all of you I've experienced so many miracles I never expected when I first entered this school. Thank you Hokuto. Thank you Trickstar. Thank you, to Yumenosaki Academy, which I used to hate most but now love most." He then said with a smile.
