Chapter 91: Tatsumi's Return

All right. Now that I'm done reporting to Onii-chan it's time to get to the next job. Huh? No job? Wait, today's for lessons? I need to check the schedule since Onii-chan has meticulously planned everything down to the minute. I must follow it. Everything will go well as long as I do as Onii-chan says. Kaname thought.

I must follow those instructions. I must work hard. No matter how difficult it is. He then thought. "Hm?" He said as he saw someone walking down the hallway. He quickly ran to the person as he recognized him. Tatsumi!" He called out. Tatsumi was seen in the non-honored student jacket.

"It is really you! I thought I was mistaken or hallucinating! W-Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in the hospital?" Kaname asked. "Ah. HiMERU-san. Hello." Tatsumi said with a smile.

"It's been a while. Did you lose some weight? I've heard about your success lately but maybe you should take a break from time to time." He then said. "Hmph. I should be the one saying that! You look terrible Tatsumi." Kaname said.

"Why are you at school when you look that ill? Are you stupid?" He then asked. "Ahaha maybe I am. But I'm only in the hospital not isolated in prison. So I'm still connected to the outside world. Although there is a limit on time and location I can still access the internet and receive letters." Tatsumi said.

"What are you talking about?" Kaname asked. Just then someone's voice called out "Tatsumi-senpai!/Kazehaya Tatsumi!" Surprised the two turned to the direction to see Reo and Ren with Shiro behind them. "Oya? If it isn't Reo-san and Ren-san. I see Shiro-san is with you too. What brings you here?" Tatsumi asked.

"Har? That's our line. Weren't you in hospital a while ago? If you're not fully recovered yet then what are you even back here? You plan to die early or something?" Shiro asked with a sigh. "That's precisely what I'm asking him at the moment before you three barge in." Kaname said.

"Hmph. Well sorry for that. We were just walking to the warehouse when we heard rumors Kazehaya Tatsumi is coming back so we just had to confirm. I didn't expect you to really be here though." Reo said with a sigh. "Ahaha. Looks like while I was in the hospital you three became friends. That's good." Tatsumi said.

"....Who is? We just met today. Don't assume we're friends already." Shiro said. "We're not?" Both Reo and Ren said in unison. "....Welp guess I was the only one. Great. Forget I said anything then." Shiro said with a sigh. "By the way is Jun-san not with you?" Tatsumi asked. "Nope. Jun-kun already went back ahead of us." Ren said.

"...That's not important right now. What we want to know is why you're here." Shiro said. "Oh that's right. Pardon me. I went off topic again. As I said earlier even in the hospital I still receive letters saying that how life is still wonderful." Tatsumi said.

"I received so many voices wishing for my return so many that I can't even imagine. From the staff I've worked with, my fans and my allies who have shared both joys and sorrows with me until now." He then said.

"Heeeeeh those guys actually send you letters? Can't really imagine with the current situation." Ren said. "Haha. So many people wanted to reconnect with me. And I could never ignore their countless wishes. To honor those feelings and to fulfill those wishes I'm willing to do everything even at the cost of my life." Tatsumi said.

...Yep. He's definitely an idiot. Shiro thought with a sigh. "You'll seriously die. No joke. You got hospitalized because you are ill both physically and mentally and you don't look like you've recovered at all. Just look at your face. Hey people really die your know." Kaname said.

"You'd die if you push yourself too hard or even just from a little bit of bad luck. Not to mention that the people who wanted your return would he heartbroken if you died. Please don't get your priorities mixes up Tatsumi." Kaname said.

"For once I actually agree with him. I get that you want to meet their expectations and not disappoint them any further just because you were hospitalized but you're a human. Just like any of us. If you die that's it. You're not coming back. That's the cruel reality." Reo said.

"Thank you for your concerns. I know you two are saying this for my sake. There are rumours in Reimei Academy that HiMERU-san and I as the representatives of the honored students and the non-honored students are fighting for profits and privileges." Tatsumi said.

"...Say what now?" Ren asked. "...To those who don't know anything they probably see it that way. Even in reality I am doing things that damage your vested interests and properties. It's natural for you to resent me. Anyone would think so." Kaname said.

"Oh no I don't resent you. If anything I'm grateful to you for doing the work has to the done while I was away." Tatsumi said. "...Yeah I thought so. You are just that kind of person Tatsumi. You don't resent me at all. And you said it from the bottom of your heart." Kaname said not surprised at all.

"You'd still accept and love me even if I betrayed you like Judas. You'd probably forgive even those who put you on a cross and crucify you." He then said. "...That sounds a lot like J**nne d'Arc." Shiro said noticing the similarities.

"...Oh no I'm not a saint and I'm not worth being compared to one like her. So please don't compare me to those real saints in the past. I just want to live up to everyone's expectations. I wanted to show you the countless fan letters sent to my hospital room. And all the love-filled messages I received from people I had a connection with." Tatsumi said.

"I just want to return love with love. I want to repay those warm feelings with my gratitude. What's so wrong about it? I love everyone after all. And as Reo-san said I'm just a normal human being who wishes the people I love to the happy." He then said.

"That's why I said you'd make everyone sad if you collapse and die for it. You'd end up hurting them. You are wrong Tatsumi. You're stupid, foolish and laughable." Kaname said. "I'll be glad if I can make you laugh. Especially Shiro-san. I don't think I've seen you smile ever since the start of school." Tatsumi said as Shiro merely kept quiet.

"After all an idol lives to make people smile. HiMERU-san I wish to keep being an idol. Instead of being a pastor of some sketchy religion I've always wanted to be someone who can be loved by others." He then said. Meanwhile Shiro is still keeping quiet but his expression starts changing to that of annoyance.
