Chapter 144: Day of Graduation

"Ah~ I'm wiped out. My stomach still hurts a little." Mao said. "Haha. Good job Isara-kun. I heard you really nailed it this time." Makoto said. "No I didn't do anything. This isn't modesty and I'm being serious here. As usual I was just running around trying to keep up with all the chaos caused by crazy people." Mao said.

"Even with all the madness the fact that that didn't completely fall apart is thanks to you steering the ship at the last moment Isara-kun." Makoto said. "Ahaha...my ability to maintain balance got unnecessary sharpened because of you all." Mao said with a sweatdrop.

"Hmm. If any it was me that had done nothing this time. I just spent my days chilling with my club juniors and friends avoiding the whole ES Academy thing." Makoto said. "No they'd hie the r should've been for everyone ideally." Mao said.

"Why on earth was there all this drama right before graduation? It's ridiculous. If anyone actually won in all this mess it's you." He then said with a sigh. "Still we can't enjoy this moment without those who stood their ground and fought even at the cost of losing and getting hurt." Makoto said.

"That's why I've always respected you all. No more than that I feel genuinely honoured to have been your ally." He then added. "Don't praise me too much. They'll get cocky." Mao said. "Isara! Yuuki! What are you doing? This isn't the time for Yumenosaki's traditional on-stage chatter!" Hokuto said.

"Yeah let's pump it up! This is our last live at Yumenosaki! Let's make it unforgettable!" Subaru said. "What a drag. Why must I wear this too?" Shiro asked with a sigh. "It's obviously because you are the one who created the song. It won't make sense for the creator to not sing it." Hokuto said.

"...Ah? You're the one who wanted me to write it." Shiro said. "Fufu...B-But standing on stage...with everyone...feels new but...it's kinda...exciting..." Ito said with a smile. "Takasaki and Shiro aside when did you two suddenly make up?" Mao asked.

"Right? Just a bit ago you were all tense with each other. Guess Isara and I were worried for nothing. Whatever this is just like you two." Makoto said. "Yeah like those who somehow get close after brawling down by the river. Classic youth." Mao said.

"Brawling? Don't be silly. Violence is a no-go for idols." Hokuto said. "...I don't want to hear it from the very person who was ready to settle things with a fistfight the other day." Shiro said with a sigh.

"Ohh Shiro-kun retorted! Haha hopefully this'll be your last retort at Yumenosaki." Makoto said. "....Yuuki shut your mouth." Shiro said with a glare. "...Hai. I'm very sorry." Makoto said with a sweatdrop.

"Why the long face right before graduation? This is supposed to be a happy stage Shirochin! Smile smile~!" Subaru said. "Yeah before the graduation ceremony all the graduates come together for a live performance. That's what this Graduation Live is about. It's such a fitting event for an idol training school." Mao said.

"Totally~! Everyone wears matching outfits and sings the same song together. Haha I thought graduation ceremonies were supposed to be somber but I prefer it this way. Just as expected from Anzu's project. It's always my kind of event~!" Subaru said.

"...Ah..So it was...Anzu-san's idea...a-as expected..." Ito said. "Exactly. Graduation Live is her idea. Even though she's a graduate too she's working hard till the very end. Well the same goes for us. Singing and dancing on stage like this." Mao said.

"Yep. It's so Anzu's style and totally like us. Carrying the essence we discovered during these three years of high school we'll graduate. We'll step into adulthood. With a smile. There were truly too many things to put into words but all's well that ends well right? At least I'm completely satisfied." Makoto said.

"Back when I first entered this high school I never expected to graduate with a smile like this." He added. "That's true. It's so wonderful so joyful!" Subaru said. "Ahh I feel like a huge weight's been lifted off my shoulders. And with this it's a truly happy ending." Mao said.
