Chapter 96: Celestial's Debut Stage

𝗔𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹

The honored students and the non-honored students are gathered there in their respective groups seated on the chairs. They were talking among themselves what is going on and why the other group is here too.

Meanwhile behind the stage curtains Ren and Reo took a peek to see a lot of students there. "...Crap this is more than I thought." Reo said. "I didn't expect them to come honestly especially since we're non-honored students." Ren said. "...Must be because of Kazehaya-san and HiMERU. Their 'gods' are appearing on stage today so why won't they come?" Shiro said.

"That's true. Let's prepare ourselves since I know for a fact the honored students won't like us upon seeing we're on stage and not their 'gods'." Reo said. "...It hurts but it's true." Ren said. Just then Tatsumi's voice can be heard from the stage.

"Hello everyone I am Kazehaya Tatsumi. Here with me is the representative of the honored students, HiMERU-san. I sincerely thank you all for taking the time and effort to come all the way here. As for why we are here we have two announcements to make. For the first announcement we would like a certain unit to come out on stage for us." Tatsumi said.

"...They're still new so of course they're nobodies but they have been practicing for this very moment. I can at least guarantee your time won't get wasted." Kaname then spoke to the audience as the students all murmured among themselves.

"Ugh I'm so nervous.....but I'm ready!" He then said. "That's sort of contradicting yourself no?" Reo asked with a sweatdrop. "...Ahaha...." Ren said. "...Still the reactions are rather underwhelming. Not unexpected though. At least they decide to show up because of HiMERU." Reo said as the honored students frowned upon seeing Tatsumi.

"...I think it's more like bribery if any. Or rather HiMERU probably offered them future job opportunities and privileges in exchange for their cooperation. So they are gathered here as a part of their job." Shiro said with a sigh.

"...It's not a situation where mere persuasion could work. People want actual benefits." He then said. "Not really. Look at those non-honored students. They are all here without any payment." Ren said. "...That's because they still have hope in Kazehaya-san and us. They believe we might be able to change this hellish situation." Shiro said.

"Most importantly let's stop talking and get prepared already. I don't want to waste any more time." He then said. "Haha. Okay then. Ren-kun you ready to go?" Reo asked. "...Hai! I think...." Ren said but he's obviously nervous. "Take deep breaths. Just relax and have fun!" Reo said. "...Yuugiri-senpai....Hai!" Ren said. "And Shiro-kun?" Reo asked. "...I'm already prepared for it." Shiro said as Reo nods. "Let's get them. Celestial...Let's fly high!" Reo said.

"...Tatsumi." "...Hai what is it?" "...Please stay clean and righteous forever. I'll do whatever it takes to protect you so your soul is never tainted. I've made up my mind. I might be an idiot. But I thought hard with my idiotic brain and made my choice." Kaname said.

"I want to devote myself to your ideals. You'll be my role model from now on and I'll surely grow better following a saint like you." He then said. "I'm not a saint but...if I'm entrusted with such belief and expectation I shall pretend to be one. Although it must be sacrilegious and a sin to do that as a mortal." Tatsumi said.

"If it can bring even a fragment of happiness to people I'll gladly take on the crown of thorns. Amen." He then said. "Everyone at Reimei Academy. Let's not waste time and please show your support to Celestial." Tatsumi said as the members of Celestial appeared.
