Chapter 158: Resting Time and Cautiousness

At the backstage the participants are at their respective rooms resting for a while. "Man that was kinda tiring but it was fun!" Ren said. "Yep it was my first time cooking so I was a bit worried about what was going to happen but thanks to Shiro-senpai we managed to pull through and win!" Yuta said.

"...Well thanks for that. I'll go and get some drinks anyone wants any?" Shiro asked as he stands up. "I'll get some orange juice!" Hinata said. "Me too." Yuta said. "I-I'm fine with just cold water..." Ito said. "I want to get the same as Ito-senpai!" Ren said as Shiro nodded.

"Ah also I'll to go with Nii-san to help! Holding five drinks is not easy after all." He then said. "...iiya I'm fine with doing it-" "No. I'm helping. Ain't no way I'm letting you do everything yourself all the time." Ren said with a sigh before Shiro could finish his sentence.

"......" "With that said Ito-senpai please stay here with the twins! In the meantime you three can have a bonding session! Come Nii-san let's go and leave them be!" Ren said as he pushed Shiro out and leave the room himself before closing the door.

"Aaaand there they go." Yuta said. Ito then starts getting all nervous because even though they're on the same team, he has never really talked to the twins before so even if he wants to talk to them he doesn't know what to talk about.

"Ito-senpai." Hinata called out. "H-Hyai?!" Ito said. "Ah hahaha sorry sorry looks like I scared you. Since the Hanagaki brothers are out I was wondering if we could ask about your experience as an Elysian member." Hinata asked.

"M-My experience...?" Ito asked. "Yep. Like how do you like being in the unit so far. Or what made you want to be in a unit with them." Hinata said. "U-Umm...." "Ah I won't force you to say it if you don't want to. We can change the question." Hinata said.

"A-At first...when Ren-kun invited me...I didn't accept and wanted to take some time...to think...." Ito said. "Really? You didn't accept right away?" Hinata asked. "M-Mhm..." Ito said. "Well make sense I guess. Ito-senpai is quite shy so imagining getting invited to a unit by someone I would want to consider too." Yuta said.

"A-At that time...King and Ren-kun...were discussing on the unit...like the outfits...and the name for it...Kagehira-kun and I helped out...with the outfits...and then...I talked to...Kagehira-kun for a bit...about whether I want to really join...but in the end...Kagehira-kun convinced me...and I decided to join the unit...." Ito said.

"I see so that's how Elysian as a three came about. I imagine it started with the brothers and Ren-kun invited you. But you took some to think before realising you really want to sing with them." Hinata said. "Y-Yep. I didn't know...much about the two of them...at that time...but I wanted to be more confident...so I chose to join..." Ito said.

"Heeeeeh that's amazing. You're barely friends which is how Elysian started and now time passed and you three managed to become close like a family. You three must have overcome some tough times together." Yuta said. "E-Ehehe...." Ito said, happy that Yuta said that.

Meanwhile with the Hanagaki brothers the two are out to a vending machine to get the drinks. "Going out to get drinks for everyone else with Nii-san has been quite a while! I'm kinda happy. Oh not saying I hate being with Ito-senpai though." Ren said with a smile.

"....Oi." Shiro said as he stopped in his tracks. "Hm? What's wrong?" Ren asked. "...How long are you going to pretend letting me carry the drinks myself is the only reason for following me? Spit it out. What's your real intention?" Shiro asked.

"What do you mean?" Ren asked. "...Don't act dumb. I know you better than anyone. You can't tell me you're only following me just because I'm trying to do something myself again." Shiro said. "......" For a while Ren did not say anything but after that he sighed. "Fine I'll say it."

"....Not letting you do something yourself is definitely one of them but it's not the only reason. Nii-san I want to ask you about your current condition." He then said. "...Ah?" Shiro said not understanding what Ren means.

"...Do you really not know? I'm talking about your dark impulse." Ren said. "......" "...Recently there hasn't been any violent activities and the gangsters who fought us, or rather you, way back then haven't come back yet so your dark impulse still hasn't appeared." He added.

"It may not have come out for now but you still have not fully suppressed it. So the chance of the dark impulse coming out again is still there." He then said. "...What do you want to say?" Shiro asked. "...I'm saying the risk is still there so to keep you safe I'd rather have myself or someone else be with you everywhere you go." Ren said.

"....I'm not a kid. I don't need one." Shiro said with a sigh. "...Nope if I leave you be you might get into a fight again. I want you to control your urges. The urge to release your dark impulse. And I think being with someone helps." Ren said.

"...From where and what unreliable source did you hear it from?" Shiro asked with a sigh. "Myself." Ren said. "......True I admit it. For now my dark impulse hasn't come out yet. Because recently I haven't gotten into fights. It's been quite peaceful after all. But if you're telling me this now I take it it's because you have a bad feeling?" He then asked.

"...Hm? I mean you're not wrong but how did you know?" Ren asked. "...Of course I know. Ever since that incident your senses have never been proven wrong. You know when danger is coming so you tell us beforehand isn't that right?" Shiro said. "...Yeah you're right. I do have a bad feeling. I don't know when but I just don't like the anxiousness I'm getting." Ren said.

"....Nii-san I'll accompany you for now. I don't want anything bad to happen to you after all." He then said. "....Do whatever you want. I don't really like the idea but you did see you have a bad feeling. Fine I'll let you follow me for a while until that feeling is gone." Shiro said. "Mhm thank you Nii-san! Well then let's go get drinks for the rest!" Ren said as the two head to the vending machine.
