Chapter 106: Ren's Pride

It's been a few weeks since COMP ended and recently the members of Elysian have been doing solo jobs to hone their individual skills. Today is no different as Ito has a job at the theme park, Shiro has his at a hero show as he is doing a collab with Ryuseitai and Ren has a job at a radio show since he is the guest for the episode.

"Everyone we apologize for the wait! Welcome to our radio show 'Ikiru Radio'! For those who don't know we bring upcoming rising stars as our guest to promote their unit and their activities and of course to know more about them! And as for today we have a special guest! Please welcome the youngest member of Elysian, Hanagaki Ren-kun!" The radio host said.

"Hello there I am a member of Elysian, Hanagaki Ren! A lot of you may not know me but that's fine! After all that's what I'm here today for! I do hope you guys get to know more about me by the end of this radio!" Ren said with a smile.

"What a great introduction Ren-kun! Well then to start us off why don't you tell us more about your unit?" The radio host asked. "Of course! First up our unit is called Elysian. It's fallen angel themed and the costumes of our unit outfit was made and designed by another of our members, Takasaki Ito-senpai and Kagehira Mika-senpai from Valkyrie!" Ren said.

"Oh my is that so? That's amazing! Next I would like to ask about your brother. I know he's the leader of your unit but I would like to know how is he as a person." The radio host asked. "Nii-san is a very blunt and honest person. He doesn't hold back on his feelings and say what he feels necessary for the situation." Ren said.

"People may think he's a rude people who doesn't care about others' feelings but in fact it's the opposite. Nii-san doesn't care for people directly. He doesn't rush when caring and will do the helping behind the scenes. Because of this he doesn't get enough credit when being praised. I personally don't really like it though.* He then said with a sigh.

"Haha! Ren-kun looks like you really love your brother." The radio host said. "Yep I do! Nii-san is my one and only brother. I'm so glad to be his sibling. Besides if Nii-san doesn't want to get the credit I'll make sure he does get what he deserves. He underestimates himself too much." Ren said.

"Ho? Looks like he's not just blunt but he's also hard on himself." The radio host said. "That's exactly right! He doesn't know how to relax and even if he does he'll get to writing songs fast. You'll have to quickly find a convincing reason for him to be able to actually rest." Ren said with a sigh.

"Haha looks like you also have it tough. Keep up the good work and I'm sure your brother will eventually realized even he is a human who deserves to be loved!" The radio host said. "Hai! I am also waiting for that day to come!" Ren said. "Well then with that said we'll continue after the break!" The radio host said as the recording stops.

The two then stepped out of the studio. "Phew! Otsukare-sama Ren-kun that was good for a start!" The radio host said. "Really? Thank you very much! I am honored to hear that!" Ren said. "Haha. Let's continue this pace later." The radio host said. "Hai!" Ren replied. The radio host then left the room for a while.

"Man that was definitely a good recording." Ren heard one of the staff whispered. "What are you talking about? It's bound to be good! I mean the guest is none other than the younger brother of that Hanagaki Shiro, the model!" Another one of the staffs said. This made Ren remember what Ibara said to him back during COMP.

"𝑯𝒂𝒊! 𝑨𝒔 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒓'𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓! 𝒀𝒐𝒖'𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒕!"

This made Ren grit his teeth a little bit. "You mean like Sena Izumi from Knights?" One of the staffs asked. "Yeah. I've seen him in magazines before so I know." Another replied. "Heeeeh that's amazing. But Hanagaki-kun must have it tough. Having a model older brother." Another one said. "Haha but don't forget even the little brother is on his way to becoming famous." Another added.

...Haaaaa. They're talking about Nii-san again. This is really getting me annoyed. I've been called many names that includes having to be Nii-san's younger brother but it's starting to really get to me. Don't I even get the rights to be called by my own name? I am Hanagaki Ren. Not Hanagaki Shiro's younger brother for damn sake. Ren thought with a sigh.

"Ah Hanagaki-kun! 5 minutes to the second half so please get ready and enter the studio!" The staff said. "...Eh? Ah hai!" Ren said. Well whatever I'll focus on the current job for now. I can be pissed about that later. He then thought as he gets ready in the studio while waiting for the radio host to come back.
