GOD'S SHOW WITH ZOE

TO THE RESCUE

Amy's Pov

I watched as Zoe and her parents got into their car and slowly pulled out of the hospital parking lot. I knew I shouldn't be watching them like a creep from Tony's window, but I couldn't help it. I was really worried about Zoe and I missed her so much.

To be honest, I was really happy when my mom told me that Zoe was coming to see Tony today, so when my parents suggested that we all go out to buy food for him, I stayed behind so I could see her again.

But as always, I screwed everything up, I couldn't look her in the eye or make up for what I did. I just stood there and let my pride take away the only chance I had to get my best friend back.

Oh my god! I'm such an idiot.

“I guess I’ll have to live with this for the rest of my life.” I sighed, angry at myself.

“You know you can tell me anything little sis” Tony said from behind me, startling me a little.

He was still lying in bed.

“Oh so now I’m your little sister?” I smirked and walked over to the chair next to his bed.

"Don't try to change the subject Amaka. You and I both know something is bothering you, Spill it"

“Spill what?” I asked, trying to act dumb even if it was a waste.

He wasn't going to let go easily.

“Amaka..” He warned.

"Okay, okay! I had a fight with Zoe....It was based on a misunderstanding" I said blankly.

"Why?"

"Well It... was...because... of you." I said hesistately gathering the courage to look him in the eyes. When I did, all I could see was shock, At that moment, I wanted to withdraw from speaking further but I knew I owed him an explanation.

"When you were rushed in after the accident, We had a fight. I got all emotional and blamed her for what was happening to you. I didn't know what came over me then but I knew I wasn't thinking straight at that moment and now I have messed up everything, It's all my fault" I concluded waiting eagerly for his opinion but I was just met with silence.

He seems to be processing everything I just said which isn't surprising to me. After all I said, He really needed to do that.

After a few minutes of intense silence, He finally spoke up.

"You know, You can always mend things with her. I'm sure she will forgive you, besides She's your best friend. Zoe can't stay angry with you forever" He said with a calm tone.

"Now that's something I don't think will happen. If you saw how I treated her, you wouldn't say that. Even I can't forgive myself for what I did." I gave out a sad sigh.

"You can't say never until you have actually tried" He said with a small smile.

"Amaka" He added placing his hand on my shoulder. "Promise me you will at least try to mend things with her even if it doesn't go well"

"But what if..."

"No buts, Just promise me" He said interrupting me. Right now, He was looking intensely into my eyes.

"I promise" I finally said which brought out a grin on his face.

"That's my little girl!" He said ruffling my hair which made me giggle.

"So now that is out of the way, what do you think I'm supposed to do?" I asked waiting for his response.

"Just leave that to me, I have something in mind" He said with a thoughtful look.

"Okay Mr smartie pants, what do you got?" I smirked amusingly at him.

"Well that's for your big brother only"

"So now it's Big brother to the rescue time" I said with a grin.

"Something like that" He stated as I watched him laugh.

"Thanks Toni" I said as his laugh died down.

"For what?" He asked looking dumbfounded.

"For being the best big brother a girl could ever ask for"

"Oh come over here!" He said with his arms wide open, calling me in for a hug which I complied immediately.

As we sat there hugging with no words spoken, I couldn't picture a world without him, a world without My parents, a world without precious and her dad, a world without Mr and Mrs Anderson and most especially a world without Zoe.

I couldn't help but be grateful for all the wonderful people God has placed in my life and this one right here in my arms is the number one on the list.

"I'm glad you are back" I said still in his arms.

"Me too pumpkin" I could picture a smile on his face even if I couldn't see it.
