There is a certain skill that Kai Parker possesses in which he is able to get anything he wants. It could be it formed out of the solitude of a desperate child begging for attention. Or it could be his non-existent feelings of empathy. Either way, Kai Parker is a damn good liar and manipulator. And Damon Salvatore and Bonnie Bennett are playing right into his sticky hands.

While Damon shoots paper airplanes made of newspapers, Bonnie attempts to perform a spell. Key word, attempt. If only Kai had his own magic, he could get this over and done with on his own. But he needs her, he needs her blood.

"Phesmatos tribum nas ex viras, sequitas sanguinem." She sighs in defeat, slumping forward slightly against the desk. "It doesn't feel right. Maybe I need a bigger map."

"Maybe you're just out of practice and you suck at magic now." Damon snarks and Kai rolls his eyes. "Ignore him, Bonnie." He says as he leans against the chair looking at his one way ticket out of here. "Pretend he's a white noise machine. That's how I used to tune out my siblings. I grew up with a ton of little sisters and brothers, and all of them constantly yammering. But it, uh, taught me how to focus."

He knows what he's doing, carefully executing his plan. He knows he is attractive and Bonnie has certainly noticed. How could she not? Look at him. Kai knows that if there is a God, he sure did bless him with his looks.

Damon's face is curled in disgust. "Easy there, big brother. She doesn't know you. At least buy her a drink." He says as he takes a sip of his own, leaving the two once again to continue with magic.

Bonnie regains her focus and continues to chant the spell. "Nas ex viras, sequitas sanguinem. Phesmatos tribum nas ex viras, sequitas sanguinem." The pool of crimson blood begins to move, drawing out a line and coating the states in red. "The blood's moving towards Virginia. That can't be right." Kai furrows his brows, while Bonnie shakes her head.

"Uh-uh, the spell's working. It's showing me Mystic Falls. It feels so..." She turns from the map to face Kai, "Close." She places her hand on his jacket pocket and flames extend. "It's right here." She exclaims and the flames die out.

He obviously pretends to be shocked, Kai does. His plan is working, not surprising at all. "Very good!" He smirks as he takes the ascendant out of his jacket pocket. "That's the ascendant?" Bonnie asks with doubt in her tone. "Thanks for the mind games, jackass." Damon rolls his eyes at the very frustrating Parker boy.

"It was just another little test, to make sure Bonnie's magic was precise enough for the spell. I do believe you're ready. Pack your bags, we're going home."

"You're wandering around like a crazy man, why?" Damon asks from afar as he watches Kai point the ascendant to the sky. He has made various circles around the perimeter, not giving a hint as to why he is doing so. "I'm looking for the exact right spot. We need to find where the power of the eclipse is focused."

Bonnie rolls her dark eyes as she and Damon follow him around on his mission. "You could've just shown us the ascendant to begin with." "Yeah, but I wanted to feel your hand on my chest." Kai flirts with her, even though it goes unnoticed.

He doesn't really mind, he's not that attracted to her.

It is the same day in the endless cycle of hell. Bright and sunny, no birds chirping. No bugs zipping past your ear. Nothing but endless silence. It is so bright, Kai has to squint just to look up or even around.

"There's something not right about him," Bonnie states quietly. "You're just not used to guys hitting on you." Damon quips, making Bonnie sigh loudly.  "You know, I can't wait to get out of here and talk to somebody else."

The endless cycle of Damon berating her about being hopeful, really drags her down.

"Can we just have a few lasting seconds of peace, while this idiot uses that thing to get the stars to align?" Bonnie doesn't pay attention to Damon anymore, instead her focus is on a newspaper on the ground. Folded into the shape of an airplane, her heart skips a beat as she reads the headline.

Damon walks off with a huff, "Hey. What's up with the nature walk?" "I use the ascendant to figure out where we need to be standing during the eclipse." Kai answers and continues to walk with his head tilted to the sky, only looking down to glance at the device in his hand.

"Great. Let's do some magic, and get the hell out of here." "Oregon." Bonnie mumbles, drawing the attention of the vampire next to her. "What?" He furrows his brows and turns to her. SHe rustles the newspaper and turns it towards him. "I've read this paper, like, a thousand times. There's something in it about Oregon." She keeps her eyes on Kai, still seemingly too busy to notice their conversation.

But he notices, and he cannot help the smile that toys with the ends of his lips. He is definitely not ashamed of what is in that paper, in fact he's proud. He hated them.

"What about it?" "You know, Kai said he had all those brothers and sisters?" She asks, now Damon stares at the back of the siphoner. He does not like where this is headed. "'Family massacred in Portland' The only one missing was the oldest boy, a 22-year-old named Malachai."

"Who names a kid Malachai? It's like they expected me to be evil." Kai says as he turns around to face Damon and Bonnie. "All these kids were murdered." Bonnie says horrified. "Hello? Not everyone died. I had a soft spot for one of my sisters. Cause otherwise I would have cut her lungs out and not just her spleen."

"What..." The female witch asks, praying he is joking. "You can survive without a spleen!" Kai says with a smile. "Something tells me you're not speaking hypothetically." Damon replies.

The siphoner raises his eyebrows and frowns. He turns his body to face the newspaper. With his sticky fingers, he points to each picture in the newspaper. "Look, well, these two, I hung off the stairwell railing. Then I put a knife in her abdomen, and him, I drowned in the pool. And he kept fighting me. I was like, 'I saved you for last, you ungrateful little...' Anyway, that was that."

Eyes blown wide and mouths hang open, Bonnie and Damon look at their so-called savior in a new light. "You just killed your whole family?" Bonnie cannot mask the terror in her voice. "Coven, to be precise." He points the ascendant towards the sun, one eye closed to angle it just perfectly. "Oh, you know, a family of witches."

"You've been making her jump through hoops, and you're a witch?" Damon glares menacingly. "Sort of yeah. No powers obviously." Kai nods, "Oh, and of course, the Gemini Coven did not take it too well when they heard of what I did in Portland. That's why they banished me here."

"This place is a prison" Bonnie concludes looking up at Damon. "They created it for you."

Kai smiles once again, an evil smile that sends chills down their backs. The kind that you would hate to find in a dark alley.

"Yep! This isn't your hell, Damon. It's mine."
