In the past long gone, there used to be a god. The Creator God. He died, and the One became many. These lesser gods, fragmented from the One, were lesser in might, but not in prominence.
Their age and experience were varied; some had been alive and aware since the time of the Second Age while some were still living in their single-digit year.
Nevertheless, all of them had a role to play in the event of 'that day', that important day where the gods would weave the true fate of the world. Such was the nature of the gods; their samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth, was unique and worked in mysterious ways.
They might not be aware of it just yet, but they carried a 'divine insight' that was unique to each individual. On that fateful day, these godly insights would shine brightly for the first and the last time, bringing about the conclusion.
How much they were aware of the fate that awaited them didn't matter; their hearts anticipated for 'that day' all the same.
'That day' in the past.
'That day' in the future.

That day when Rimuru told the world that he was Veldanava reincarnated and took the familiar form of the Star King Dragon, his signal spread across the three thousand great thousand worlds. One of the many places the signal reached was the zenith where the dead came to rest, the Promised Land.
Emils, as they were named by Rimuru in his recent visit, was sitting on a branch of the Cherry Blossom tree when the signal that was composed of a haki greater and stronger than Dragon Spirit Haki hit them hard.
This cocktail of wills encompassed the essence of a True Dragon, a Demon Lord, and a Hero. Without a doubt, all of them belonged to Rimuru. Emils had played a part in making Rimuru embodied the good, the bad, and the divine. Still, it surprised them how potent the power was.
'His haki is exceptionally powerful. How absurd. It even reached this place that is outside the firmament.'
Rimuru was astonishingly powerful. It was to be expected from a Throne Candidate, who had limitless potential for growth. While this went according to their plan, it also gave them an insight into their enemy, Ivaragé the World-Destroying Dragon.
It, too, was a Throne Candidate. When it woke up, it would grow at an insane rate as well.
"What happened there, boy? You look shaken." Under the shadow of the tree, which was Emils's main body, Lucia was sitting and drinking a cup of perfectly brewed tea.
She gazed upward at the nubile form, which was uncharacteristically trembling.
'How curious. We have never seen him so shaken.'
They had always been competent, so it was a strange sight. The wind blew, the leaves rattled, and the very earth trembled. It wasn't Rimuru's doing, but rather Emils's. The Pure Land, also known as the Promised Land, was made and maintained by Emils, which meant it reacted to their state of mind.
Even in the situation where the world around her seemingly crumbled, Lucia didn't react, enjoying the tea with a movement that was regal and showed no concern.
If the tree, which was also the realm's anchor, stood strong, then nothing bad would happen. She had been living here for so long; an oddity like this didn't scare her even just a little bit.
"Seriously? You didn't feel that?"
"We don't know what you're referring to. Elaborate."
"You are too comfortable ordering me around. I'm a god as well." Emils pouted. This woman, who he saw as a friend who endured the same fate of being confined, had not even once shown them respect.
