Chloe was an amalgamation of bizarre traits. She was clearly beyond the level of just Heroes and Demon Lords. In this room where three members of the Octagram and a couple combatants who could perform at the Demon Lord-level gathered, Rimuru alone had a real chance of winning in a head-on fight.

Her power, just like Rimuru's, existed within the realm that could only be described as godly. Her presence weighed heavily in the room and made others feel suffocated despite her aura being perfectly concealed.

Anyone who knew and understood the strength of heroes would notice immediately that Chloe was an anomaly who stood at the zenith of humanity. Besides her and the First Hero, no human was able to reach this realm of absurdity they occupied.

Leon and Luminous, an ex-hero and a fully awakened demon lord, couldn't begin to scratch the surface of the unfathomable mass that was Chloe's strength.

If even the members of the Octagram who were feared and recognized worldwide found her overwhelming, there shouldn't be any doubt left regarding her place at the top among the gods and the transcended.

"Chloe, you are my friend, and I love you for all that you've done for me. However, you still owe me an explanation." The first to speak up was Luminous, who was unaffected for the most part.

She had mingled with the sealed husk of the hero for a long time, it was only natural for her to build an immunity to this dreadful aura the Masked Hero oozed even in a state of mindlessness.

When they had met for the first time, Chloe knew more than she had let off, and it was irksome for Luminous. She didn't like the feeling of being left in the dark, but knowing Chloe, she must have a good reason to share knowledge in fragments.

Chloe didn't even look apologetic. She simply acknowledged Luminous's words with a nod. "I don't feel regretful or rueful. I have done everything for a friendlier sky, which is timeline. When it comes to changing the past, you can't play favorites. Every word spoken is a trigger that can shift the result drastically."

Chloe was part of a conspiracy, which operated beyond the world's confinement. It wasn't her role to explain their goal. Her role, as well as Rudra's, was to do the biddings for the two masterminds who had no meaningful ways to interact with the material realm.

She was, for the lack of a better word, a field agent. "That's right. I'm a time traveler and have seen the past that never exists. I can turn back the clock as much as I want to due to my Ultimate skill and my vow of oneness to the Holy Spirit of Time. But when it's done, I will be the sole achiever of memories."

Her source of this absurd power, the Holy Spirit of Time, was one of the very first entities made by Veldanava. Not so different from the angels, which were also Veldanava's creations, the Holy Spirits had no ego at first as well, but each of them had crystalized one since the genesis.

Of eight elementals that existed, time was the most powerful, thus making the Holy Spirit of Time the strongest spirit and the one with the most defined ego. That power which governed the flow of time made Chloe one of the most formidable humans out there.

"My role is to set up the pieces for you to find," said Chloe, addressing Rimuru. "It's not like I can force your hand or your fate. I can only leave tools and hope that you'll find and utilize them well."

It was ironic that even those who tried to rebel against fate were still at the mercy of fate itself. They could position aids all they wanted, but if Rimuru didn't stumble upon and choose to use them, then it was useless.

Chloe told them about the dismal futures she had seen. "The universe sure is a wonderful creation. I have heard before that there are infinite possibilities out there, but seeing it by yourself is different from just hearing words of mouth."
