Part 9: making a cake

After a while the girls went back to the apartment and Rebekah was talking to Hannah about getting a job. It didn't sound like the conversation was going too well.

I was getting bored of just sitting around in the apartment all day everyday, the whole point of coming here was to start a better life.

Outside the block of apartments there was a swimming pool and it looked really nice but it is the middle of winter. I don't really fancy going for a swim in ice cold water.

Rebekah came into the living room and sat on the sofa opposite me with a smile on her face. "Hannah is going to get a job." Rebekah said and I smiled back at her. "That's great! When is she starting?" I asked. "She should be starting next week." Rebekah said and I nodded. "When are you going out with Connor?" I asked. "In an hour. I'm quite nervous." She replied and I giggled. "You will be fine. You two suit each other so much." I replied and she blushed. "Thanks. You and Brad suit as well. I saw the way you looked at him this morning." Rebekah mentioned and I blushed. "I had the urge to hold his hand but I didn't." I mumbled. "Aaawww, why didn't you?" She asked. "Because he might not of wanted me to and Hannah might kill me." I replied. "Brad would love it if you held his hand." Rebekah replied. "I think that Brad should be the one to hold my hand and hug me. If he wants me then he kinda has to prove it." I said. "I think he is planning to do quite a lot next week." Rebekah said and winked, I looked confused. "Has Brad told you anything?" I asked. "No, I can just tell that he is planning something." She replied.

We carried on talking for a while and then Connor knocked on the door and took Rebekah. Sophie had unexpectedly gone out with Tristan and Hannah had gone to sort her job out. I was alone in the apartment and I had no idea what to do.

I was thinking about going over to see what Brad was doing but he might not want to see me again as he saw me this morning.

I texted James and asked if Brad was in the apartment and after a couple of minutes he replied:
1 message from James:
Yeah, he is in. You should come over. Me and brad are on the Xbox.

I thought about it for a while and I still couldn't make up my mind. Does Brad want me over there?
1 message to James:
Are you sure? Brad might not want me over.

Just as I sent the message I heard a knock on the door, I walked over and opened it to find Brad.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi..." I replied, looking confused.
"You can come over you know, you don't have to ask James." He said and I blushed. He giggled at my reaction and held out his hand. I took it and he lead me into his apartment.

James was sat on the sofa playing on the Xbox and Brad went and sat next to him. I looked around the apartment and it was so messy, but then again, there are a bunch of 19 year old boys living here.

"Why don't we do something that all 3 of us can play?" I heard Brad ask and James switched off the Xbox. "Like what?" James asked. Brad patted the bit of sofa next to him and I sat down.

"What do you wanna do?" Brad asked me and I shrugged my shoulders. "We could tidy this place up a bit?" James said and everyone went silent as we looked around the room. "No chance mate." Brad said and I giggled, he looked at me and gave me a cute little smile. "Why don't we make a cake?" I asked and the boys seemed happy with the idea.

We all walked into the kitchen and got the ingredients out. James was making a Chocolate Cake and me and Brad are making a Victoria Sponge, of course James would put me and Brad together.

Things were going so well until it was time to use the flour. Brad decided to put some on my nose, which I thought was quite cute so, while he wasn't looking I crept up behind him and poured some over his head. He ended up chasing me all over the apartment until I was trapped upstairs.

"Let me go!" I shouted as he picked me up. "Not until you say sorry for putting flour on my head." Brad said and giggled. "You started it by putting it on my nose!" I replied and Brad laughed. He put me back down and stared at me for a little while, I wasn't really sure what he was thinking but I soon found out as I felt his hands hold mine.
