Part 75: i got the job

I woke up really early in the morning to see Brad standing in front of me with his guitar, I jumped because he scared me and then rolled over to go back to sleep. "Chloe! Come on." Brad said. "It's 5:30am Brad. No!" I said and buried my head in to the duvet. "But you have got to start practicing!" Brad said, I didn't answer him. I just went back to sleep so he started to jump on the bed. "Brad! Go away!" I groaned, he wouldn't stop jumping so I stood up on the bed as well and then pushed him so he fell on to his back on the bed. "Stop!" I said and then got back into bed. "Chloe! You need to start learning! I wanna give you the best possible chance so you can get a surprise from me later!" Brad said. "Give me 3 more hours." I said and Brad sighed.

He let me sleep and then at 8am he woke me up again. "Go away!" I shouted again and he laid next to me in the bed. "I love you." Brad said. "I love you too." I said and then rolled over to get some sleep. "Come on, get changed! We can start learning. I have made you a cup of tea." Brad said, I slowly sat up and Brad passed me my cup of tea. "Thanks." I said, still half asleep. He smiled at me and then put the guitar on the bed, he took my cup from me and gave me the guitar. "Play the chords A, D, C and E." Brad said, I played them all and he smiled at me. "See! You can play the chords it's just about getting them in the right order and getting the strumming pattern right." Brad said and I nodded. "Can I have my tea back now?" I asked and Brad giggled. "If you complete the next task." Brad said and I rolled my eyes.

He showed me the strumming pattern and then told me to play the chords in a constant loop, it started to sound like Can We Dance and I was surprised that I had even got this far. "Yay!" Brad said and passed me my cup of tea, I then got washed and dressed and Brad spent the rest of the day teaching me the strumming pattern and the chords. I eventually got the hang of it, the only reason I am doing this is to prove to everyone that I do have self confidence but I only show it when I want to.

The evening finally came and I was now starting to get a bit nervous, it is one thing playing it in front of Brad but playing it in front of all of the members of The Vamps is a bit scary. They are all professional and I can only just about write a chorus to a song. "Chloe!" Rebekah said as I sat down on the sofa. "Have you come to perform it?" Connor asked and I nodded, Brad sat on the sofa opposite me and he winked at me. My mind then went blank of all the chords and strumming patterns that I had just learnt. "I... Can't do it..." I said and looked at everyone waiting for me to perform. "Yeah you can Chloe! You just did it upstairs." Brad said, he sat next to me on the sofa and winked at me. "I believe in you." Brad said. "But I have forgotten all of the chords." I said. "A, D, C and E." Brad said, he then strummed the guitar once and I suddenly remembered what I was doing. "Go for it." Brad said, he then sat back down on the other sofa and I started to strum the guitar.

I played the song really well and by the end of it everyone was standing and clapping, I giggled and blushed a bit and Brad walked over to me. "I knew you could do it." He said and kissed my cheek. "What's this surprise then?" I asked. "Well, I thought I would take you out tomorrow? A romantic day out maybe? To celebrate half a year of being in a relationship?" Brad asked, tomorrow is half a year since we got together so it would be nice to try and do something. "Yeah sure! Are we bringing Jesse with us?" I asked. "I'm not sure she will be allowed in the restaurant." Brad said, we both looked over at her and she was attacking one of her toys. I giggled and nodded. "Good point." I said and he smiled, I then sat on his lap and he pulled me close to him. "So, what are we doing on this romantic day out?" I asked. "Have dinner, go on walks, go to the park, go shopping. Anything we want, we can just decide tomorrow." Brad said and I smiled. "Sounds like a good plan." I said and he kissed the side of my neck. "I really love you." Brad said, I turned to face him so my legs were either side of his waist and smiled. "I really love you too." I said and kissed him slowly but passionately.

Jesse then jumped on to our laps and I giggled as I pulled away from the kiss. "Hey girl!" I said and she barked a little, I stroked her soft coat of fur and she snuggled into Brad's chest. "Looks like you've been taken by another girl Brad." I said and laughed. "She is my girl, both of you are." Brad said and winked, I smiled and kissed Jesse's forehead and then Brad's lips. "Our family." I said and Brad smiled. "It's only gonna get bigger." He said and I blushed. "Not for a while yet though, right?" I asked and Brad nodded. "Of course!" He said and I ran my hand through his hair.

"We need to take Jesse on a walk." Brad said. "I will go, you can stay here. I don't mind." I said. "No, I will go with you." Brad said, he slowly kissed the top of my head and smiled at me. "Proper kiss?" I asked and then he kissed me on the lips forcefully, Jesse then jumped up at me and pushed me back. "Aaawww, I think Jesse is getting jealous because I have you." I said and Brad smiled, he stroked Jesse and gave her a kiss on the head. "Your both my girls, I love you both Jesse. You have to share me." Brad said and I giggled, Brad then kissed me again and I pulled away. "We need to walk her." I said and Brad nodded, we both stood up and got our shoes on. I got my phone and then said goodbye to everyone while Brad put Jesse's lead on.

We walked out of the door hand in hand while I walked Jesse, we looked up at the sunset and I smiled at Brad. "It's your birthday soon." I said and Brad nodded, I need to go and find out if I have got that job or not because I desperately need to pay for Brad's birthday presents. "Do you mind if we stop off at the local supermarket on the way back?" I asked. "Yeah. Why?" Brad asked. "I just need to check something." I said. "What?" Brad asked. "I will tell you after." I said, Brad looked confused but he carried on walking. After about half an hour we started to walk back and we stopped off at Tesco just like I had asked. "Wait here with the dog." I said to Brad, he still looked confused but nodded. I kissed him and walked inside to try and find the manager.

After about 10 minutes I walked out of the shop with a smile on my face and took Jesse from Brad. "What's going on?" Brad asked. "I got a job." I said and smiled, Brad stared at me and looked confused. "Why? I earn enough money so you don't need to get a job." Brad said. "Because it's your birthday soon and I want to buy your birthday stuff and I want to take you out somewhere nice, I don't want you to have to pay for your own birthday." I said. "Baby, that's really nice of you but I don't need anything." Brad said. "Well you threw me a massive birthday party so now I am giving you one." I said, I started to walk and Brad walked next to me. "Why at Tesco though?" Brad asked. "Because it's the only place that I could get a job at and it won't be for long, only until I get enough money for your birthday and then I will quit." I explained. "When are you starting?" Brad asked. "Monday." I said. "That's in 4 days..." Brad said. "Yeah, so?" I asked. "Don't you wanna wait a bit longer?" Brad asked. "No. Brad, why aren't you happy for me? I am doing this for you!" I said. "I know, but I just wasn't expecting you to get a job. When am I going to spend time with you?" Brad asked. "I'm only working 5 hours a day, from 6:30am-10:30am." I said. "Ok..." Brad said.

"Please be happy for me." I said. "I am, I'm just getting over the fact that you actually went out and got a job to pay for my birthday." Brad said. "I will do anything for you Brad, I only need to work about 3 weeks anyway and then I will have enough to get you a birthday present and take you out somewhere nice." I said. "Baby, you don't have to." Brad said, he held my hand as we walked down our road. "I know but I want to." I said, I got the door keys out for our apartment as we stood in the lift. "Thank you." Brad said, he kissed me for ages and when the doors opened for the lift everyone saw us making out in the lift. I went bright red and walked out of the lift to get to our door. "That was funny." Brad said and I went a bit more red.

We walked into the boys apartment and as I took Jesse's lead off Brad started telling everyone that I have got a job to pay for his birthday, everyone thought that it was adorable and really nice of me to do that. Brad spent a lot of money on me for my birthday and it was my first ever proper birthday, so I wanna make his 19th a bit more special than any other birthday he has had.
