Risk It All (COMPLETED)

Part 18: water volleyball

I am really enjoying this party, everyone is having a really good time. I can't wait for the BBQ later and I would quite like to sit with Brad when the sun sets after the BBQ.

"Who wants to play water volleyball? I have got lots of inflatable toys!" Tris said, sometimes I wonder just how old Tris really is, he acts like a child most of the time. We all agreed and I got to pick who was on my team because it is my birthday. There is 8 people so that means there will be 4 on each team. "I would like Rebekah, Connor and Brad." I said. "Cool, so that leaves me, James, Tris and Hannah." Sophie said and we all nodded.

Brad walked through the water and stood behind me so he could wrap his arms around my waist. "I thought for a minute that you weren't going to pick me to be on your team." He said and buried his head in to my neck. "Of course I would pick you." I said and Brad looked up at me and smiled.

James finally finished blowing up the inflatable volleyball and the net. We then stood in our teams on each side and then the game started. I am rubbish at sports so our team started loosing, 0-4.

It was Hannah's turn to serve and she gave me a dirty look and then threw the ball directly at my face. "I'm sorry. It was an accident." She claimed but everyone knew she was lying. Luckily there was no blood and no bruises but it still hurt. "Are you ok?" Brad asked and I nodded even though it hurt quite a bit. Brad swam over to Hannah and started to get very angry with her, I walked over to Rebekah and she gave me a hug. "Are you sure your ok?" Rebekah asked. "Yeah, it just stings a bit. I will be fine." I replied and she nodded.

We decided that we should stop the game and I got out of the pool and sat on one of the sun beds. I closed my eyes and I felt the sun being blocked from my body, I opened my eyes to see Brads head blocking the sun. "Budge up." Brad said, I giggled and moved over so me and Brad were on one sun bed. He kissed the side of my face that got hit with the ball and smiled at me. "I got really annoyed with Hannah, she won't be hurting you again." Brad said and I smiled. "I don't understand why she tried to ruin the game. I know she doesn't like me but to try and ruin my birthday is a bit low." I said and Brad nodded. "She hasn't ruined anything." He said and I smiled.

"Brad! Do you wanna help with the BBQ?" James shouted from the other end of the garden. "Yeah, sure. One second!" Brad shouted back. "Do you wanna come with me?" Brad asked. "No thanks, I'm gonna go and talk to Rebekah." I replied and Brad smiled. "Ok then, I love you." Brad said and I kissed his cheek. "I love you too." I replied. Brad winked at me and then walked off.

I watched him walk to the BBQ and then I looked over to Rebekah to see that she was talking to Sophie. I walked over to her and she smiled at me. "Hey Chloe, come and join us." She said, patting the chair next to her. I sat down and she smiled. "How are things with Brad?" Sophie asked and nudged my shoulder. "Fine, I guess." I replied and Sophie smiled back.

"How's things with Tris?" I asked and she blushed. "Really well thanks. Our relationship is moving really fast but I like it that way." Sophie said and me and Rebekah nodded. "Your not gonna go and get yourself pregnant are you?" Rebekah asked and Sophie giggled. "No, not yet anyway. Maybe in a couple of years." Sophie replied. "In a couple of years! Sophie, your only 18!" Rebekah said. Sophie has always been more grown up than her age. She has dreams of a big family and a nice house with the perfect husband. "I know." Sophie replied. "How far have you and Tris gone?" Rebekah reluctantly asked.
