Part 54: love bites and promise rings

I woke up really early the next morning, I didn't get much sleep last night and I'm not really sure why. I walked downstairs and sat on the sofa in the boys apartment, I looked out the window for a bit and then I heard someone coming down the stairs. I turned around to see James walking towards me and he sat on the sofa opposite me. "Hey." He said. "Hi..." I said, still half asleep. "Why are you up this early? It's like 6am." James said. "Couldn't sleep, why are you up so early?" I asked. "I'm gonna go for a run soon." James said and I nodded, he then looked at my neck and looked back up at me. I was getting a bit confused and James giggled. "What?" I asked. "Have you seen your neck?" James asked and I looked confused again. "You have a love bite..." James whispered, memories of last night came flooding back to me and I hid my neck with my hands. James carried on giggling at me and I went bright red. "Don't be embarrassed, it just shows how much Brad loves you. Does he have one as well?" James asked and I nodded. "Awwwww, young love." James said and I playfully hit him with one hand while the other one covered up the love bite.

"When are you going to tell everyone about your girlfriend?" I asked. "At the end of the America tour probably." James said and I nodded. "I can't wait to meet her." I said and James smiled. "I can't wait for you guys to meet her either." James said and I smiled. "So, what did you and Brad get up to last night?" James asked and winked at me, I playfully hit him again and looked out the window. "Aaawww, is Chloe embarrassed?" James asked and laughed at me, I didn't say anything and I didn't look at him either. "Did you two, you know... Do it? On the beach last night?" James asked. "No." I said and James nodded, I then remembered why I am so upset. I didn't do what Brad wanted last night, I was a coward and I should of just done one simple thing for him. He has given me so much and I can't even go a little bit further in our relationship for him.

"Are you ok?" James asked and I snapped out of my thoughts. "Yeah." I quietly said and James nodded. "Well, I'm gonna go on a run now. Have fun and I will see you later." James said and I nodded as he walked out the door. I sat in silence by myself for about 10 minutes and then I heard someone call my name, I turned around to see Brad standing on the stairs. I gave him a confused look and he gave me the hand signal to walk over to him but I didn't move, instead I turned back round and carried on looking out of the window. Brad looked confused and walked over to me, he sat on the sofa next to me and put his arm around my shoulders. "Are you ok?" Brad asked and I nodded. "Why are you up so early?" Brad asked. "Because I couldn't sleep." I replied, still not looking at him. He sighed and held my hand. "That's a nice love bite you got there." Brad giggled and I nodded. "Baby, what's wrong?" Brad asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "Do you want me to leave you alone?" Brad asked and I shrugged my shoulders again.

Brad stood up and knelt down in front of me, he turned my head so I was facing him and planted a delicate kiss on my lips. "Please tell me what's wrong." Brad said. "I still feel guilty for not doing what you wanted last night and I'm never going to live it down." I said and Brad smiled at me. "Baby, that's doesn't matter. I don't care about that anymore." Brad said. "But I do." I said and looked out the window again. Brad held my hand and played with the ring on my finger. "I love you." Brad said and kissed my cheek. "I love you too." I said but didn't look at him. "Say it like you mean it..." Brad said, I turned to look at him and he had a little smile on his face. "I love you." I said and then looked down at the floor, Brad sighed and took my hand. He stood up and walked me upstairs and into his bedroom. "What can I do to make you happy?" Brad asked and I shrugged my shoulders. "Name anything and I will do it." Brad said and I sat on the end of his bed. "Well, there is one thing that makes me happy..." I said. "What? Anything." Brad said and sat next to me, he kissed my cheek and smiled at me as he saw my love bite. "Talking about our future..." I said and then looked down at the floor.

"Well we can do that then, how about we snuggle up and we can talk about whatever you want to." Brad said. "I just wanna make you happy though." I said. "I'm happy when your happy." Brad said. "That's not true." I said. "Yeah it is, whenever your happy then I feel a lot happier." Brad said. "What do you want our future to be like?" I asked, changing the subject completely. Brad stood up and turned to face me, he picked me up and carried me into bed. He then tucked me up under the duvet and joined me by snuggling up to me and taking his top off. "What part of it?" Brad asked and a little smile appeared on my face. "What you said on the balcony the other day." I said and ran my hand down his chest which gave him little goosebumps.
