Chapter 52

A couple of days went by, and the first day after Feng Yichen had separated from the Feng family, Feng Muchen once again arrived at the university campus to drag Feng Yichen back again. However, Feng Yichen handled it pretty fast. He threatened Feng Muchen that if he came back here again or tried to bother him again, he would call the reporters or even post an article to expose his face. Feng Muchen cursed him one last time before retreating and stopped appearing. However, the next appearance was Feng Yichen's uncle, Feng Muyang. At first, Li Chyou was worried, but Feng Yichen had assured her not to worry. Feng Muyang said he was stopping by to see how Feng Yichen was doing since his father was starting to bug him to drag Feng Yichen back, but since Feng Yichen was able to handle things on his own, Feng Muyang left. Soon, Feng Yichen explained to them that it was his uncle who had helped him start his small business and investments.

After everything had settled, Xiaodan went to work. She started reading into Wu Mingze's file. Xiaodan couldn't help but find his file was odd. She had never seen a file like this. She didn't understand why he didn't have someone to pair with but only a possibility. The person he had a good compatibility with was named Yu Meiyue. She was also in the same university, but she was in the science department. She was from a well-off family. She had good grades and had a strong passion to learn things. Xiaodan learned that Yu Meiyue also goes to the library every day.

"I have an errand to do. I will catch up with you guys later," Xiaodan said, trying to leave the group. She had to pretend she had an errand because she knew they would follow her to the library.

"Do you need any help?" Li Chyou asked and turned her attention to Xiaodan.

"No, I'm good. I'll see you at the dorm," Xiaodan quickly refused

"Oh, okay...," Li Chyou said, watching Xiaodan leave. Xiaodan quickly left while Wu Mingze was busy dropping their assignments down to the professor. She knew he would question her or go with her, but she needed to snoop out his compatible person.

As she scurried away, Wu Mingze turned his head to find Xiaodan gone. He handed their daily assignments to the professor and walked back.

"Where did Xiaodan go?" he asked once he arrived back to them as people had already left class or were packing up.

"She said she had an errand to do," Li Chyou answered, packing her stuff while Feng Yichen was waiting for her as Zhu Haoran had already left.

"Oh," Wu Mingze said, grabbing his stuff. "Well, I'm going to head out as well," Wu Mingze said, slinging his bag over his shoulder.

"Mmm," Feng Yichen answered but still had his gaze on Li Chyou. "Chyou, you don't have to rush. Take your time," he said with a smile.

"Oh okay," Li Chyou said softly, with her ears turning red. Wu Mingze took his leave and reached for his phone, sending a text.

Immediately, a response appeared, "Sorry, I had an errand," Xiaodan texted back.

Xiaodan arrived at the library and spotted her target. She sat at least a table away from Yu Meiyue. Yu Meiyue didn't seem to notice Xiaodan as she was too busy reading her textbook. Xiaodan set down her bag on the table and pulled out a book to make it look like she was there for a reason. She opened her novel but turned her attention to Yu Meiyue. Xiaodan studied her. Yu Meiyue was stunning. She has a soft and elegant look, as it seems like she has a calm, mild temper.

Yu Meiyue started writing down notes and pushed her hair back behind her ear. She then began flipping through the pages, searching her stack of textbooks, but she couldn't find what she was looking for. Yu Meiyue set her pencil down before she stood up and headed to the shelves of books.

Xiaodan had an idea. She needed to act fast before Wu Mingze had figured her out. He was quick to catch on to her plans. She quickly scrambled through her bag and pulled out a piece of paper. She then scribbled something nicely on the note before folding it neatly. Xiaodan glanced in the direction where Yu Meiyue was as she was still busy looking for a textbook. Xiaodan quickly took her chance and placed the note underneath Yu Meiyue's pencil before hurrying back to her spot. Xiaodan leisurely opened her novel and waited for Yu Meiyue to return. Once Yu Meiyue sat down, she immediately noticed the note. She proceeded to open it and read the content. Yu Meiyue immediately looked around before a small smile appeared on her face. She folded the paper in half before sticking it in her bag, and soon she started to pack up. Xiaodan smiled before opening her phone and sending a text.

"Hey, Wu Mingze, do you want to go to the amusement park with me?" Xiaodan had sent.

A quick response appeared, "Sure."
