"Let's do some fireworks," Zhu Haoran suggested after they had finished eating and lounged around the bonfire.
"That sounds like a great idea. Why don't you guys go out and buy some fireworks and shoot them at the beach? It will be a wonderful view," Zhao Huiying said, sitting up from leaning against the couch.
"That does sound fun. Let's do that," Li Chyou said, looking around. She soon set her eyes on Feng Yichen. Once he looked at her, she immediately looked away.
"Yeah, let's do that," Feng Yichen said, getting up.
"I want to go too," Wu Ming Feng shouted, standing on his two little feet, ready to go.
"Alright, you kids have fun. Don't stay out too late." Zhao Huiying said.
"Mom, you and Dad aren't coming with us?" Wu Mingze asked.
"Oh, of course not. We are too old for that. Also, we old geezers can't stay up as you young kids nowadays. Your father and I will probably stargaze a couple more minutes before heading to bed," Zhao Huiying said.
Wu MingTao sleepy yawned, "Yes, your mother and I are too old to stay up. Well, it's more like me, who can't stay up late anymore. So, your mother and I will probably take a small midnight walk before going to bed. You kids go on ahead and have your fun. Don't mind us."
On their way out, Zhao Huiying shouted, "Don't forget to take a sweater or blanket with you guys. It's colder by the ocean, especially at night." They nodded their heads as the only one who listened was Xiaodan, who grabbed two blankets on her way out.
"Ming Feng, you must wear your sweater. With your small body, you will catch a cold," Zhao Huiying said.
"But...Ma, I'm fine. I'm not cold," he quietly said.
"No, you have to wear your sweater. If not, you can't go," Zhao Huiying said in a serious tone.
"B-but Ge is not wearing a sweater...," Wu Ming Feng slightly grumbled.
"Don't worry, Auntie. I got a blanket. I will make him use it," Xiaodan said with a smile.
"Alright," Zhao Huiying sighed at her little son's stubbornness and softly mouthed a 'thank you' to Xiaodan with a smile.

Once they bought some small fireworks and sparklers, they headed to the beach. They first lit up the sparklers. Soon, each person held a sparkler in their hands.
"Ming Feng, be careful, okay?" Wu Mingze said, watching over his little brother.
"Yes, Ge," Wu Ming Feng said.
Xiaodan looked at everyone. Zhu Haoran, Li Chyou, and Wu Ming Feng had bright smiles on their faces as they were running around. Feng Yichen and Wu Mingze both had relaxed expressions, even though they didn't smile.
Xiaodan soon noticed Feng Yichen had a soft gaze when he watched Li Chyou play around with her cousin and Wu Ming Feng. Xiaodan couldn't help but smile until she noticed Wu Mingze was looking at her. She slightly tilted her head at him before giving him a small smile. He also smiled back.
"Are you having fun?" Xiaodan said to him, walking up to him.
"Mmhm," he softly nodded his head.
"Good," Xiaodan said, tapping her sparkler against his before looking him in the eyes. He wanted to continue looking at her, but a small tug was pulled on his shirt.
"Ge, look," Wu Ming Feng said, showing his sparkler to him.
Wu Mingze smiled before saying, "Little Feng, don't put it too close to your face."
"Okay," Wu Ming Feng said.
Soon, they continued to play with sparklers until there was no more left. Since Wu Ming Feng was the first one to have his sparkler lit, his soon died out.
"Little Feng, here you can take mine," Xiaodan said, handing her sparkler to him.
"Who said you can use my nickname," Wu Ming Feng snarky said.
"Why can't I? Aren't we close?" Xiaodan teased.
"Hmph," Wu Ming Feng turned his head away.
"So, you don't want it?" Xiaodan lured him. He soon slowly turned his head back at her with his lips slightly pouted.
Xiaodan instantly smiled and said, "Here. Just take it." Xiaodan carefully handed her sparkler to him and took his dead one.
Wu Mingze stood there and watched their cute little actions with each other, and genuinely smiled.
