"Welcome," Xiaodan greeted another customer.

"Let me know if you need any help or have any questions. I can help assist you in what you are trying to look for," Xiaodan added. She continued pruning the leaves of the flowers.

It's been a few years since they finished college. Once they graduated, Xiaodan opened a small flower shop. Li Chyou had opened a business in making and selling perfumes. Feng Yichen officially launched his company nationwide, while the other two, Wu Mingze and Zhu Haoran, began working at their family company.

"Excuse me," a customer softly said. Xiaodan looked up from arranging the flower bouquet.

"How can I help you, sir?" Xiaodan said with a smile.

"Umm....I'm thinking of giving flowers to my girlfriend, but I am unsure what to get her," the man nervously said with red cheeks.

"Oh, how sweet of you," Xiaodan said. "Does your girlfriend have a favorite flower?" She asked.

"I'm not sure yet....we just started dating," he said.

"Alright, do you only want one type of flower or a mixture of flowers? Each flower has a different meaning, like baby's breaths symbolizes everlasting love and purity. However, color also comes into play, like red roses symbolize deep love or yellow roses symbolize friendship and joy. What kind of message do you want to say to her?" Xiaodan asked.

"Something that says I love you," he said with his cheeks still red.

"How about red roses with baby's breaths? I can whip something up for you, or unless you want to look at these?" Xiaodan said, showing him a couple of pre-made bouquets.

"I also sell pots of flowers as well if you want to give her a small flower pot instead," Xiaodan added.

"You can take your time to think. Just let me know when you are ready," Xiaodan said.

"Thank you," he said, looking at the pre-made bouquets.

Xiaodan went back to pruning the flowers, giving him some time to explore and look around.

"Hello, I overheard you talking about the symbolism of some flowers. What would you give to celebrate a baby?" a middle-aged woman asked.

"Oh, white lilies, carnations, or baby's breaths are good choices. White lilies symbolize new beginnings, and pink carnations mean a mother's love," Xiaodan said with a smile.

"Thank you," she said.

"No problem. Let me know what you choose," Xiaodan said.

"Are you able to make a bouquet with all three flowers you just named?" she asked.

"Of course," Xiaodan said, setting aside the bouquet she was making. She went in the back to grab the flowers and quickly whipped up a bouquet for her. Soon, the young man had decided on a bouquet, and Xiaodan processed the purchase.

Xiaodan once again started pruning the flowers. As she was arranging the flowers, a small voice spoke aloud, "Mom, why is this here? Isn't this a weed?" A small little girl pointed at a small metal bucket used as a pot for a clover plant on the cashier counter. There were thriving white flowers and beautifully green leaves.

"It was a gift from someone special to me. Don't you think the flowers are cute? Plus, if you are lucky to find a four-leaf clover, you will be lucky," Xiaodan said with a smile and bent down to her level.

"Really!" the little girl said.

"Of course, see if you can find one. It has to be four leaves. If you can't find one, you can take one of the flowers," Xiaodan said, plucking a flower and giving it to her.

"Thank you!" The little girl bloomed into a smile and took the small flower.

Soon, it was closing time, and Xiaodan was watering the flowers, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors, and wiping the counter. When two young males stop by. One of the young men dragged the other one into the shop.

"Come on, there's no harm in looking. Don't you think these flowers would be nice to give her as a gift?" said the young male who dragged the other one in.

The one who got dragged didn't speak but looked at the flowers with great temptation.

"Do you need any help?" Xiaodan asked, looking up from wiping the counter.

"Get it," the young male urged the one who was tempted to buy the flower.

It didn't take long before he grabbed the flower and bought it.

"Thank you. Have a great rest of your day," Xiaodan said, handing the receipt to them.

"You go ahead first. I'll catch up," said the man who dragged them in the first place. The other guy left the shop, and the young male instantly turned back and smiled at Xiaodan.

"Do you need anything else?" Xiaodan asked.

"No, nothing. I just really wanted to say hello to my senior. It's an honor to meet you. You are big up there. Everyone knows Xiaodan. The cupid assistant who became a mortal for true love," the young male said.

"Oh," Xiaodan raised her eyebrows, "You're a cupid assistant!" Xiaodan added.

"Yes," the young man cheekily smiled.

"Is he your assignment? Looks like it's going well," Xiaodan said.

"Yeah, it's going," he smiled and scratched the back of his head.

"But it's amazing to meet you in person. I can't wait to tell the others," the man said with pink cheeks.

Soon, a voice cleared his throat. "Oh, Mingze. When did you arrive?" Xiaodan asked, noticing him.

"Not that long ago," Wu Mingze answered.

"Oh, I should be leaving. It's truly an honor to meet you," the man said again, leaving with a bright smile. Xiaodan nodded and smiled.

As he left, Wu Mingze watched him leave.

"Let me finish up, and we can go," Xiaodan said with a smile as she looked at Wu Mingze.

"Hmm," he responded. Xiaodan smiled before closing the register and wrapping up.

She soon spotted Wu Mingze wiping the door handle.

"What are you doing?" Xiaodan asked, tilting her head.

"There was a smudge on the door," he answered, finishing wiping the door. He then grabbed the broom and started sweeping the floor. However, he was only sweeping the path from the cash register to the door. Xiaodan immediately burst into laughter.

"Are you jealous? He was just my junior. He happened to spot me and wanted to say hello. You don't have to erase his mark." Xiaodan chuckled, covering her mouth.

Wu Mingze set the broom aside and leaned his forehead to her shoulder.

"Yes, I'm jealous. He was smiling too happily and too widely. Plus, his cheek was getting too red," he mumbled.

Xiaodan once again laughed, "Aww, my little jealous baby," as she rubbed his back.

"And you are my clover," he said, turning his head to face her, but still had his head leaning against her shoulder.

"Yes, I am," She said, giving a kiss on his forehead.
