"You're kidding!" Xiaodan said excitedly.

"Of course, I never kid with you," Auntie Mo said, still having a smile.

"You are lucky. Your assigned people are two royals, and you will get to meet the water dragon," Auntie Mo said.

"Water dragon? Wait, don't tell me the water dragon that fell in love with a mortal?" Xiaodan gasped as every immortal heard the taboo gossip of an immortal dragon who fell in love with a mortal.

"Yup," Auntie Mo nodded her head.

"But isn't she sealed in the mountain as punishment for killing hundreds of people?" Xiaodan said.

"From what I heard, her punishment is over, and she can be set free. So, an add-on, you will be unsealing her as well," Auntie Mo casually said.

"How is this possible?" Xiaodan opened the file. "Auntie Mo, are you sure this is a mid-level case? This has to be a mistake. This case is likely a high-level case," Xiaodan said.

"And how is the water dragon even involved with this case?" Xiaodan said with a little grumble in her voice as she started to read her case.

"Oh, I see...," Xiaodan said, reading the file.

One of her assigned people is the descendant of the man whom the water dragon fell in love with, Crown Princess Zhao Ying of the Zhao clan. They were in a drought crisis. Not a spec of rain fell from the sky as if they were also punished. Throughout the years of that man ruling the land, he prospered in his own self-interest and wealth, showing no concern for his people, as many of the poor barely survived. Soon, he passed, and the people breathed out a sigh of relief. However, they still had a major problem as it fell onto the shoulders of the next heir, his son, the current Emperor of the Zhao clan, the Crown Princess Zhao Ying's father, to find a solution. The only solution he could come up with was to unseal the water dragon and set her free, but there was another problem: no one knew which mountain the dragon was sealed in, as many generations had passed, and the story had turned into a tale.

Emperor Zhao only had one child, his daughter, Crown Princess Zhao Ying. Due to the lack of water, it was hard to grow anything or keep animals. So many people were very scarce with their things, and many only had one child.

Emperor Zhao had learned that the neighboring country, the Fu clan, was also facing drought like them since they are so close to each other; however, they were in a slightly better condition since they were closer to bodies of water. He thought it was best to have a marriage alliance with the two countries, as their agreement to help find the dragon and save both countries.

"Emperor Father," Crown Princess Zhao Ying greeted and slightly bowed to show her respect.

"Ah Ying, what brings you here?" Emperor Zhao said and turned slightly to see his daughter coming up behind him.

"Eunuch Han said you would be here," Zhao Ying said, walking toward her father.

"Crown Princess had heard that Emperor Father had chosen a marriage alliance for the greater good. One wants to further assist for the better of our country. One wants to journey to find the water dragon alongside Crown Prince Fu Zhong of the Fu clan. We must also part take in additional services of this alliance besides the marriage, or one day it will turn against us." Zhao Ying respectfully gave advice.

Emperor Zhao's eyes slightly widened in astonishment before nodding his head. "Truly, my daughter has grown up. What you said is indeed correct. We must assist. However, Zhen thinks it's not great for a woman like yourself to go on this journey," he said.

"Emperor Father, one must go as the only heir of the royal family. One may not be a male, but one must place the burden on thee shoulders to carry," she graciously bowed.

Emperor Zhao looked at his daughter before sighing, "Come now. Rise. Zhen can see your loyalty and integrity for our nation. Zhen grants you your request. One must take leadership if one takes a high position, unlike my father..."

Emperor Zhao remembered when his father reigned over the land. All he cared about was himself. He didn't care about the people. Many people suffer in the drought. With no water, nothing could survive, and soon crops and livestock slowly died out. Mostly, the wealthy had a better chance of survival compared to the poor. Many of the poor had not survived and died out. After his father passed away, the hopes and heavy burdens of the people rested on his shoulders, weighing him down and crushing his breath with each passing day.
