Chen Yang was still dangling from the horse. She was no longer holding onto Jiu Jun. She had one arm around the horse, and the other held the horse's mane tightly.
"You can get down," Jiu Jun said as he had already calmed the horse down.
"What! Are you crazy? There's no way I can get down. It's too high up," Chen Yang said, taking a peek over her shoulder before getting scared and holding the horse tighter.
"It's a small drop," Jiu Jun said in disbelief.
"I-I can't," Chen Yang said, closing her eyes shut.
Jiu Jun sighed before getting off the horse. "Here, I'll help you down. You are fine now. The horse has calmed down," Jiu Jun said softly.
Chen Yang opened her eyes and looked over her shoulder to see Jiu Jun, lending his hand out. She had let go of the horse's mane and reached her hand out to Jiu Jun, but she remembered something.
"What about Xiaodan? Is there anyone who is going to help Xiaodan?" Chen Yang said, remembering it was only Crown Prince Fu Zhong who was left to help Xiaodan and the Crown Princess. Chen Yang thought it was a small chance for Crown Prince Fu Zhong to carry both Xiaodan and the Crown Princess onto his horse.
"His highness has the capability to save both of them, but if you are still worried. I'm sure I saw Jingy going after the carriage," Jiu Jun said, remembering when he was trying to calm his horse down with Chen Yang dangling off the horse, he saw He Jingy riding past them.
Chen Yang stopped mid-way with her eyes widened, "You mean that guy who had a sword by Xiaodan's neck last time?"
"Ah... yeah...," Jiu Jun said.
Chen Yang pulled her hand back. "I don't trust him! Let's go back and save Xiaodan," Chen Yang said.
"Jingy is trustworthy. He is one of the best generals in the Fu clan," Jiu Jun proclaimed as he was offended by Chen Yang's remark.
"Then why did he put a sword to Xiaodan's neck!" Chen Yang argued.
"I know Jingy, he wouldn't do something so drastic if she had done something," Jiu Jun justified.
"I, too, know Xiaodan! She wouldn't do anything," Chen Yang argued again.
Jiu Jun noticed Chen Yang's arms were trembling as if they were about to give out from clinging to the horse.
Jiu Jun sighed, "Fine, let's go." He saw how stubborn she was.
"Get on the horse properly so we can go," he said.
"I..I can't," she said softly. He saw she barely had any strength left.
"Alright, try to hold on tight while I try to help you," Jiu Jun said, helping her get on the horse completely.
Once she was completely on the horse, she finally relaxed her body.
"Move over a bit," he said as Chen Yang didn't make a fuss and moved a bit.
Before Jiu Jun could get onto the horse, a loud voice shouted.
"You there, where is her highness!" Zhang Yuz barked at them. Without his horse, Zhang Yuz had to run to keep up with them. Covered in sweat, Zhang Yuz was panting as he reached them.
"His highness is rescuing her," Jiu Jun said plainly, disliking Zhang Yuz's tone of voice.
"Hmph, with the likes of you men, can't simply stop the carriage," Zhang Yuz snorted.
