"Don't you think it's rude of you to tie a lady up? Xiaodan said, ignoring his question.

"The same goes with you. It's quite impolite to tie someone up," he said with a cold smile.

"In my defense, the only reason I tied you up was for my safety. You have a killing tension towards me," she said, acting innocently.

"In my defense, I don't trust you," he also retorted. Xiaodan immediately tightened her lips.

"Alright, spill or today is your last day," he threatened.

"Alright, if you are so dying to know. I am a fortuneteller," Xiaodan lied.

______

"If you'll excuse us, we have to see if the storyteller is alright," Jiu Jun said, getting on the horse. Jiu Jun ignored Zhang Yuz and started to redirect his horse.

"Isn't that the Crown Prince and Crown Princess?" Chen Yang said, seeing two figures coming towards them.

"Ying!" Zhang Yuz shouted, running towards Fu Zhong and Zhao Ying, not caring about anything else.

"Are you okay?" Zhang Yuz asked.

"Yes, I just twisted my ankle a bit," Zhao Ying answered. Zhang Yuz instantly saw Fu Zhong carrying Zhao Ying in his arms. Zhang Yuz immediately fumed up.

"What do you think you are doing?" Zhang Yuz yelled before trying to take Zhao Ying away from Fu Zhong.

Fu Zhong glared at him and slightly moved to dodge Zhang Yuz's grasp. "Keep your hands to yourself," he said in a low voice.

"What did you say!" Zhang Yuz's eyes flamed up.

"You dare touch my women," Fu Zhong said, deadly, staring at Zhang Yuz coldly. Zhao Ying's eyes widened as she looked up at Fu Zhong before she lowered her head in shyness, her cheeks turning red.

"Your women!" Zhang Yuz shouted, enraged.

"She is my fiancée," Fu Zhong said, shooting him a glare. "Step aside," he added coldly before walking past Zhang Yuz.

Zhang Yuz clenched his fist before watching Fu Zhong and Zhao Ying.

"A fortuneteller," He Jingy raised one of his eyebrows. "What are you playing at?" He said in a deadly tone before pulling out a dagger from his sleeve.

"I'm not playing anything. I am a fortuneteller. I received a message regarding the love between the Crown Prince Fu Zhong and Crown Princess Zhao Ying. They are meant to be, but they will need assistance to help them open their hearts, so here I am," Xiaodan said, half lying and half telling the truth.

He Jingy narrowed his eyes. "Really?" he said, not buying it.

"Really! How can I make you believe me?" Xiaodan said, looking up at him innocently.

"You are really not afraid of me? Aren't you scared that I might kill you right now?" He Jingy said, lowering his dagger.

"Why should I be afraid? You don't look like the type to kill people willy nilly," Xiaodan said.

"If you are a fortuneteller, then tell me what's my fortune?" He Jingy said, still not believing her.

"Your fortune?" Xiaodan slightly stuttered.

"Yeah," he said, "Can't come up with anything?" He narrowed his eyes at her.

"Uh.., let me see your hand. I need to see your hand to read your fortune," Xiaodan quickly came up with something.

"Oh..., my hand," he said, playing along with her before he lifted one of his hands to her face. He showed his palm to her.

"Ah, I see! You will have a great life. You will have great honor and victories in your life," she quickly sprouted nonsense, looking straight at his hand.

"Then when will I meet the one?" He asked, still playing along.

"I-I should not disclose too much now. One must not know too much of one's future, or your fate will change," Xiaodan quickly quoted.

"Nice try," He Jingy smirked before placing the dagger to her neck.

"Oh come on now! You must believe me. I mean no harm. If I were dangerous, why would I hire ordinary hunters to play as decoys instead of actual bandits? Or wouldn't I use skilled assassins instead? Think about it. Why would I waste my time on these little charades?" Xiaodan said, looking him straight in the eye. Her eyes were firm and serious.

"Then why say you are a storyteller?" He Jingy said, lowering his dagger again.

"Well, I am a storyteller. Didn't you come to one of my storytelling sessions?" Xiaodan said, raising an eyebrow.

"What you say about the dragon is still true? Or a lie," his voice became cold again.

"Like I said, I'm a fortuneteller, storyteller, and traveler. I hear, see, and know all," she rambled. She saw that he still doubted her.

"Alright, if you still don't trust me, keep a close eye on me and see that I mean no harm," Xiaodan said, giving up a bit. He Jingy looked at her.

"Alright, I will keep a tight leash on you," he finally spoke.

He didn't know why, but she seemed a bit trustworthy, perhaps because of her firm eyes or her annoying smile.

_________

"Where's Jingy?" Fu Zhong said, still carrying Zhao Ying.

"I'm not sure. I was planning to go look for him," Jiu Jun said.

"Mm, let's go find him and the storyteller," Fu Zhong responded before he whistled, and soon came his horse, galloping towards him.

The horse stopped in front of Fu Zhong. "Good boy," Fu Zhong said.

"Alright, careful. I'm putting you on my horse," Fu Zhong said to Zhao Ying.

Zhao Ying didn't say anything but nodded her head. Fu Zhong lifted her onto his horse before they all heard noises coming toward them. They all looked and saw He Jingy, riding his horse with the carriage behind it.

"Jingy, there you are. We were about to go look for you and the storyteller?" Jiu Jun said.

"Where's Xiaodan?" Chen Yang said worriedly, not seeing her with He Jingy.

"I'm in here!" Xiaodan said, popping her head out of the window.

Chen Yang breathed a sigh of relief once she saw Xiaodan. "You're not hurt, right!" Chen Yang asked.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just a little scratch and marks here and there," Xiaodan said, looking at He Jingy.
