The horse sprinted, bumping into small stones and small tree roots. The three ladies were tossed around as they tried to hold onto anything to stabilize themselves.

Xiaodan held onto the window edge. "What's taking them so long to save us?" Xiaodan complained in her head, tightening her grip on the wooden edge.

It didn't take long before they heard hooves galloping behind the carriage, and soon, on each side, Fu Zhong and Jiu Jun were beside the carriage, at full speed on their horses. Jiu Jun kicked the side of his horse to increase his speed. He got close to the horse carrying the carriage, but before he could jump on, the horse got startled again and thrashed, jerking the carriage sharply. The three women inside yelped, as they were once again thrown to one side. Both of the two men's horses were startled by the reckless motion of the carriage, as both horses cried out and raised both front legs.

"Zhong, I can't get on! How about you?" Jiu Jun shouted to Fu Zhong, taming his horse.

"I can't either," he answered back, stabilizing his horse.

"I'm surprised how durable this carriage is. There's no visible damage. Even though it went through a hard trench with rocks and roots in its way, luckily, it hasn't bumped into any trees," Fu Zhong said, looking up ahead.

"Jun, forget stopping the horse. Get them out of there now before the horse crashes into a tree," Fu Zhong said, seeing that the horse was heading deeper into the forest. Jiu Jun looked up ahead before reacting fast.

"You, grab my hand," Jiu Jun said to Chen Yang, reaching his hand out. Chen Yang looked up at first before her face turned sour.

"I have a name!" Chen Yang argued, still disliking him.

"Does it look like the time to argue right now? Hurry up and grab my hand," Jiu Jun argued back.

Chen Yang scrunched her eyebrows, ready to argue back, but Xiaodan patted her shoulder while Xiaodan was still steadying herself.

"Chen Yang, don't make a fuss. Go," Xiaodan said.

"But, Xiaodan," Chen Yang tried to say.

"No buts, hurry," Xiaodan said.

Chen Yang slightly moped before reaching her hand out. Before they took hold of each other, Jiu Jun said, "On the count of 3, I will pull and you jump."

Chen Yang nodded her head.

Jiu Jun counted down, "1...2...3!" They latched their hands together, and Jiu Jun pulled her onto his horse as Chen Yang pushed herself off the window ledge. Everything was going smoothly until Chen Yang accidentally kneed the side of the horse, startling it.

Jiu Jun's horse made a loud sound before raising its front legs and pulling away from the carriage.

"AHH," Chen Yang yelped in fright as she was half on the horse and half off the horse. She squirmed around, accidentally hitting the horse again, making the horse stressed, as it started to jerk around. Jiu Jun pulled the rein, trying to calm it down.

"You, stop moving," Jiu Jun shouted.

"But I'm falling," Chen Yang yelled back as she was clutching onto his clothes for dear life, still having half her body off the horse.

With all this ruckus, the horse carrying the carriage became more stressed and sped up fast, making Xiaodan and Zhao Ying fall onto their bottoms. Fu Zhong pulled on his horse's rein to redirect it before kicking the side, making it chase after the carriage. He again reached beside the carriage, the side where Zhao Ying was.

"Hurry, give me your hand," Fu Zhong said, reaching his hand out while making sure the pathway was clear.

Zhao Ying didn't hesitate and tried to position herself before reaching her hand out to him. Before he could grab it, Xiaodan knew with his skills, they would have an easy transition with small amounts of physical contact, but she wanted Zhao Ying into his arms.

"Crown Princess, hurry before we crash into a tree," Xiaodan said, trying to move towards her.

"Ah," Xiaodan 'accidentally' lost her balance and bumped into Zhao Ying, pushing her out of the carriage and into Fu Zhong's arms. Because of the sudden force, Fu Zhong lost his balance, and they fell off the horse together. Fu Zhong acted fast and wrapped his arms around Zhao Ying, shielding her as they rolled down a rocky hill.

Xiaodan looked out to see that no one was coming to save her.

"Alright, horsey, you've got to stop," Xiaodan said, making her way to the horse. She held onto all sorts of things to help stabilize herself as she made her way to the opening. She pushed the door curtains aside. She saw that the horse was not planning to stop anytime soon. She immediately caught sight of an upcoming slope, going downwards. She waved her left wrist, and immediately a ray of light flew out of her bracelet and cut the rope that was tying the horse to the carriage. The horse instantly sped up its speed once again, leaving a dash of dust behind it as it was free from the ropes. At the same time, the carriage slowly slowed down before completely stopping in the middle of the forest. Xiaodan used the wall of the carriage to help her up and step out of the carriage. She turned around to see where she was. Before she could look around, she was immediately pinned against a tree. Her neck was tightly wrapped around by a hand.

"Who are you really?" He Jingy said deadly.

"Ah, sir. I think you are misunderstanding something," Xiaodan said.

He Jingy leaned closer with his eyes becoming dark, "Don't make me repeat myself a third time. Who are you?"

"I don't know what you are implying since you already know who I am?" Xiaodan tilted her head slightly, her innocent eyes gazing up, yet there was a hint of teasing in her voice.

He Jingy furrowed his eyebrows and slightly tightened his grip.

"How can I talk when you are squeezing my neck?" Xiaodan continued to tease as she had no fear in her eyes. He Jingy was speechless but narrowed his eyes. Xiaodan could tell that he was not planning to budge; she had to think of something. She looked around and spotted something in the corner of her eye. He immediately noticed her gaze and saw what she had spotted. He instantly pinned her even closer to the tree and used his other hand to grab a hold of both of her wrists, as he didn't want what had happened the last time to occur again.

Xiaodan softly chuckled, "Don't you think we are a bit too close to each other? It's very improper for a female and a male to be this intimate with one another." Xiaodan broke into a smile as she felt his body stiffen once she reminded him of their short distance between them.

"If you had some interest in me, you could have said something instead of being so rogue," Xiaodan teased.

He Jingy suppressed his anger, "Do you think this is some game? You'd better spill, or I will snap your neck in half."

"Oh," Xiaodan raised her eyebrows. "Let's see you try," Xiaodan said, immediately throwing her whole body weight into him. Making him caught off guard and loosening his grip in both hands. She immediately took advantage of his shortcoming and once again used her body to shove him in the direction on their left, making them stumble down the slope into a massive hole in the ground.
