"It's clear that he has fallen," the old woman said as the two old couple stood far away and watched Xiaodan, Wu Mingze, and Wu Ming Feng.

"Yes, far too deep," the old man said. Once a person passed by them, they soon became transparent and instantly changed into two men, one in white and one in red. The one in white was a refined middle-aged man, while the other one was an old man with a white beard.

"So what do you think? I will leave the choice to you," the man in white said as they continued to watch them.

"How many times has it been now?" the old man in red said.

"Three. This is his fourth now," the man in white answered.

The old man in red took a deep sigh and stroked his beard, "He has been waiting for a long time now."

"Indeed. No matter what we try or do. Nothing seems to work," the man in white said. "So, what do you plan to do, Fate?" He added.

"Heh, why ask me, Cupid? This involves one of your assistants," the old man in red said.

"And who is the one who oversees the fate between two people and connects the red string of two people?" Cupid said.

"Touché," Fate said, crossing his arms. "Alright, let's test one more thing," he said.

"What would that be?" Cupid said, looking at him.

"Alright, I'll let you handle this," Fate said.

"Eh, I'll give it to Zixin to handle," Cupid said, waving his hand.

"Oh," Fate raised an eyebrow. "Do you think he can manage?" He added.

"Well, he should. He will be taking over soon as it's long overdue for me to retire. Probably once this is over, I'm retiring," Cupid said, rubbing his chin.

"Yes, yes. You have been wanting to retire for such a long time ago that you even personally created Zixin as your replacement," Fate said. "He's like another you," he added.

"Of course, he's just like me. He has the same characteristics but with a different face. However, I have to say he is a bit more cunning than me," Cupid said and chuckled at the end.

"I do agree," Fate nodded his head and stroked his beard. "But he is less mischievous than you were. More cunning but less mischievous."

"Heh, you're right about that," Cupid chuckled.

"Alright, we will see how this plays out," the old man said, looking over to Wu Mingze and Xiaodan.

Out of the blue, Xiaodan received a message through her bracelet from Senior Zixin to return. Xiaodan made an excuse to leave. Once she arrived at headquarters, she found Senior Zixin waiting for her.

"Sorry, were you waiting long, Senior Zixin?" Xiaodan said, reaching up to him.

"Not at all," he simply replied.

"What is it you called for me?" she asked.

"I know that you asked Auntie Mo to assign you to the cases for Zhu Haoran and Wu Mingze," Senior Zixin said.

"...Ah...yes, but don't blame Auntie Mo. It was me who made her do it," Xiaodan said.

"Don't worry. You both are not in trouble. Nice work on Zhu Haoran's case, but you have to stop on Wu Mingze's case. You are being reassigned," Senior Zixin said.

"What. Why," Xiaodan said, not understanding. "But I'm getting close," she added eagerly.

Senior Zixin saw her pleading expression and sighed, "His case is going to be on hold."

"On Hold? Why?" Xiaodan asked.

Senior Zinxin rubbed his chin before adding, "...actually you might be reassigned on his case again, but once they forget you."

"What? Why? Wouldn't it be better to do it now since I know a lot about him, and he is comfortable with me?" Xiaodan said, getting confused.

"His case is special," he bluntly said.

Xiadan instantly nodded her head. "You're right. I was about to ask you about that. I have never seen a case like this. Why doesn't he have a person? Only a high compatibility?"

He seriously looked at her before saying, "Do you want to know? It's because of you."

"What?" Xiaodan said, looking at him astonished.
