"Are you two dating?" Zhu Haoran said, shocked. He was surprised to see Wu Mingze and Xiaodan holding hands.
"When? How? Did I miss something?" Zhu Haoran's mind malfunctioned. He watched as Wu Mingze took hold of Xiaodan's hand once class was over.
"Yeah, we are dating," Wu Mingze answered calmly.
"That was quick," Feng Yichen said, looking at Wu Mingze.
"Actually, it took quite a while," Wu Mingze said, eying Xiaodan as he smiled at her.
"Sure...," Zhu Haoran teased.
"What about you, Zhu Haoran? Aren't you dating yet?" Xiaodan teased back.
"...I-I'm planning to confess soon," Zhu Haoran's face lit red. Soon a ding came from his phone. He glanced at it and quickly said, "I'm heading out first!"
They all watched him go before they left as well.

Xiaodan and Wu Mingze walked hand in hand. She couldn't help but say, "It feels weird not wearing a bracelet."
She looked down at her left wrist. She lifted her left hand, which held Wu Mingze's hand, up to her face. Since she became mortal, she could no longer wear the golden bracelet. Before she could say more, she immediately noticed the mark on Wu Mingze's wrist. She released her hand and gripped his wrist. She now knew how he got this birthmark. It was because of her. She couldn't believe it, because that hit from the bracelet would cause him to have this mark for eternity.
"Does it hurt?" Xiaodan asked, touching the mark.
"Of course not. Didn't I already tell you this is a birthmark?" Wu Mingze softly chuckled. "Every time I look at it. I think of what you said before. It does look like half a heart," Wu Mingze gazed down at her birthmark.
She looked up at him and thought, "In every life he lived, did he look at this and ponder why he had this birthmark or thought this looked like half a heart...."

"Are you sure you want to go to the eastern borders?" Fu Zhong asked one more time. Fu Zhong and He Jingy were drinking some alcohol in his courtyard after they had finished the meeting briefing, and He Jingy had requested to go and protect the eastern borders.
"Yes, I'm certain. Someone has to go and protect the borders. Someone capable," He Jingy said, picking up his cup.
"Plus, you have Jiu Jun, so I don't have anything to worry about. And you are capable of taking care of yourself even if you are the new emperor," He Jingy added.
"Hah, fine. You are right, but Zhen is thankful for your service to our country. We must send you off in a grand gesture," Fu Zhong said.
"No need for that, your highness," He Jingy declined.
"No, we must send you off with great honor," Fu Zhong said.

Soon, a decree was announced: Royal General He Jingy will be stationed at the eastern borders, and Soldier Jiu Jun will be the newly appointed General of the royal palace. And the royal palace will be celebrating to send off Royal General He Jingy with great honor.
"Is it true that Royal General He Jingy will be going to the eastern borders?" Chen Yang said, riding a horse.
"That's what he said. I still can't believe it myself," Jiu Jun said, holding the reins as Chen Yang was in his arms.
"D-does that m-mean I can't see Uncle He any-more," a small voice said in between Chen Yang's arm. A cute small little girl looked up at her mother. The three of them were on one horse.
