The next day arrived, and they were once again at the beach. This time Wu Ming Feng didn't make a fuss and went in the water with the others. However, while playing with them, Xiaodan experienced a cramp in her leg. So, she sat out on the beach and watched them instead.
She noticed Li Chyou was having so much fun with water splashed on her face that she happened to misstep. She stumbled, and before she could face-plant into the water, an arm quickly wrapped around her, holding her close to his chest. Li Chyou wiped the water blocking her view and looked up to see Feng Yichen looking down at her. Soon, it looked like he was lightly scolding her, but his eyes were tenderly showering her with care and refusing to let her go, while Li Chyou softly nodded her head, lowering her gaze with her cheeks turning pink.
Xiaodan happily smiled before she started massaging her cramped leg and didn't notice Wu Mingze coming to the shore. She was startled when he sat down beside her.
"Huh? What brings you here? Why aren't you playing with the others? Don't worry about me. Like I said before, 'Once my leg feels better, I'll go back in'," Xiaodan said, turning her attention to him.
"I'm tired. I want to rest for a while before going back," he simply said.
"Oh," she said and went back to massage her leg.
"Is it still painful? Do you want me to massage it for you?" He asked, getting into a better position and leaning forward before grabbing her leg.
"Ah," she was a little startled by his actions and quickly said, "It doesn't hurt anymore. Just a little bit sore."
"Is it here?" He said, massaging her leg as if he didn't hear her reluctance in her voice.
"Uh, yeah.." she said. "Thank you...," she softly added. She didn't know why she felt shy while he continued to massage her leg.
"Mmm," he casually responded and continued his focus on her leg.
She shyly watched him. She looked from head to hand. She looked at his unwet dark black hair as if it looked soft to the touch. She saw his dark eyebrows looking sharp. Since he wasn't wearing his glasses, she could see his beautiful dark brown eyes, looking intensely at her leg. She soon watched water droplets slide down his bare chest.
"What are you looking at?" Wu Mingze said, looking at her before squeezing her calf.
"Ah, nothing," she quickly said and averted her attention to his hands that squeezed her calf instead.
"Oh," she raised an eyebrow, "Is that a birthmark or a scar on your wrist?" She lifted his right hand. On his right wrist, there was a small pale pink disfigured shape. It somewhat resembles half of a heart.
"It kind of looks like half a heart," she added and poked it.
"Mmm, it's a birthmark," he answered, looking at her touching his birthmark. He never really paid attention to it, but since she brought it up, he could see how it kind of does look like half a heart. He watched as she started to rub it with her thumb and had her own fun. A small smile appeared on his lips.
"Ah, sorry...," Xiaodan awkwardly said, realizing what she was doing and letting his hand go.
"Mm, it's fine," he casually said before going back to massage her leg.
"Ah.., I'm fine now. It's better. It doesn't hurt anymore. Thank you..," Xiaodan said, trying to move her leg away from his grasp.
"Alright," he said, releasing her. He stood up and lent his right hand out. "Come, let's go back in the water," he said.
Xiaodan glanced up to see the bright sun blinding her sight, but Wu Mingze moved aside to block it out, and once again, she saw his face clearly. She then stared at his hand, and for some reason, she had a vague memory of something. A similar hand was reaching out to her, but soon, the memory disappeared from her mind once again before she awoke from her thoughts.
"Hmm? What's wrong?" Wu Mingze asked, noticing she was taking a while to take his hand.
"Ah, nothing," she snapped out of her thoughts and looked up at him. She realized how stunning he was and saw how sharp his eyes were.
"I just realized without your glasses, you look slightly different but still handsome," Xiaodan said straightforwardly and gave a smile.
"Oh...," he was lost for words.
"But with your glasses off, you look a bit intimidating," Xiaodan casually said.
"Oh," Wu Mingze said, raising his eyebrows as his sharp eyes looked deeply at her.
"Yeah, like that. You look intimidating. With your glasses on, you look less scary and seem kind," Xiaodan said.
"Is that so?" he sarcastically joked. "Come on, let's go," he said with a smile, still waiting for her to take his hand.
She smiled back and finally used her left hand to grab his hand as the heart-shaped bell on her bracelet slightly swung against the wind.

As a few days went on, they continued to play at the beach or took small hikes to explore nature. On those walks, Wu Ming Feng would occasionally get tired, and either Wu Mingze or Xiaodan would carry him on their backs. Soon, their break was coming to an end. They had one night and two days left.
The evening before their last night, when they came back from their fun, they noticed Wu Mingze's parents had their luggage by the door.
"Dad, why are yours and Mom's luggage at the door? Are you two leaving?'' Wu Mingze asked his parents.
"Yes, your Uncle called us this afternoon. Something urgent happened, and he needs us tomorrow, so we are heading back tonight," Wu MingTao said to his son.
"Since you guys are leaving tomorrow, don't be too restless tonight, especially you. You'll be driving them back tomorrow, so get enough rest," Wu MingTao strictly said.
"Yes, father. Don't worry," Wu Mingze said.
Soon, Wu MingTao's phone rang. He excused himself before answering the phone.
"Mm, Mingsheng what's the matter? Yes, tell them to hold off," Wu MingTao said, finding a quiet place to talk.
"Mom, do you need help bringing your luggage to the car," Wu Mingze asked.
Zhao Huiying exited the bedroom and answered, "Yes, if you can, dear."
"Little Feng, do you want to head back home with us, or do you want to stay with your brother and leave with him tomorrow," Zhao Huiying asked Wu Ming Feng.
Wu Ming Feng looked at his mother before looking at his brother and shook his head.
"I want to stay with Mingze ge," Wu Ming Feng said.
"Alright," Zhao Huiyang said.
Soon, Wu Mingze's parents left, and before they knew it, nighttime had arrived. Wu Meng Feng was so exhausted from today's event that he couldn't stay awake any longer and fell asleep on the couch. Before Wu Mingze picked his brother to bring him to his room, Zhu Haoran suggested an idea.
"Should we drink?" He asked happily.
