Chapter 51

"Yu Yuxan, what are you doing? STOP HIM!" Feng Muchen shouted. He then looked at the guards, who were quick on their feet, and chased after him. Once Feng Yichen heard footsteps coming after him, he started to run towards the gate. He immediately saw Li Chyou up on top of the gate, struggling with the guards while Wu Mingze and Xiaodan were trying to stop the guards from messing with Li Chyou as they pulled the guards' clothes or arms through the narrow openings of the gate. As the guards were trying to push Li Chyou off the gate. In that split second, Feng Yichen kicked the guards on the back of the knee and made them fall to their knees.

"Yichen!" Li Chyou shouted in shock but was also relieved to see him.

Feng Yichen quickly opened the door by the gate and exited. "Chyou, jump. I'll catch you. Hurry," he said, opening his arms. Li Chyou jumped off the gate and into Feng Yichen's arms. He then placed her nicely down on the ground.

"Hurry, let's go," he said as he grabbed hold of Li Chyou's hand, and they all started to run. They were lucky to flag a taxi and quickly hopped in before the bodyguards caught up.

"So what happened? Are you okay?" Li Chyou said, catching her breath.

"Nothing much. I just announced that I'm leaving the family and won't have any part in that family," he casually said, panting.

"What!" they all said, looking at Feng Yichen's relaxed face.

"What did they say? Did they allow you to do that? What if they don't let you go?" Li Chyou started to ask millions of questions as she worried about him.

"Chyou, don't worry too much. They can't stop me, and they don't have any say," he said, patting her hand.

"What are you going to do with money or school tuition?" Xiaodan asked.

Feng Yichen just smiled, "I don't have to worry about that. I got a full scholarship from this university, so I'm covered. Regarding money, I already started a small business and have some good investments going already," he said leisurely.

"Now it makes sense why you are always on your phone," Xiaodan said as Feng Yichen simply nodded.

"Wait, if you got a full scholarship and are running a small business, then that means all along you were smart and didn't need my help in studying," Li Chyou said.

"Ah..well, about that...I didn't mean to fool you.... I just-," Feng Yichen started to stutter, not knowing where to begin.

"Let me be clear, I didn't mean to play you. At first, I thought you would give up, but you stubbornly refused to give up, and soon I realized how cute and determined you were," he said.

Li Chyou's face heated up, "Y-you quiet," she covered his mouth.

"But I have to explain myself," he muffled as he teased.

"Be quiet you," her face turned red as she glanced over at Xiaodan and Wu Mingze, who looked away with a smile.

"What? Are you shy?" Feng Yichen teased again. He then wrapped his arm around her and pulled her to him.

"Shh...," she hushed him, as she was practically leaning on him with her hand to his mouth.

Soon, they arrived back at the campus and called it a day.
