Soon after playing with the sparklers, they all settled down and watched the small fireworks go off. They all sat side by side with each other, and their gaze bloomed with fireworks against the gleaming ocean behind it. The ocean breeze blew against their skin, sending a chill down their spines. Xiaodan immediately tossed a blanket to Li Chyou before grabbing the other blanket and wrapping it around herself. She then wrapped her left arm around Wu Ming Feng with the blanket and pulled him closer to her.

"I-I don't need it," Wu Ming Feng protested.

"Oh," Xiaodan raised her eyebrow to him before she teased, "Then why are you trembling and chattering your teeth?"

"I-I don't know what you are talking about," he shivered.

"Well, I'm cold, so I'm going to steal your heat," Xiaodan said, pulling him closer to her.

"Hmph, fine. Since you are cold, I will warm you up then," he said, slightly leaning his body closer to hers. She just smiled at his small action and wrapped her arm tighter. She gazed at Wu Mingze, who was on the other side of Wu Ming Feng.

"Are you cold? Would you like to share the blanket with us?" Xiaodan said, slightly lifting the blanket towards him.

He looked at her.

"Sure," he said before standing up, walking to the other side of her, and sitting down. At first, she was surprised that he would move and sit on the other side of her, but she lifted the blanket to him. Once he grabbed it, she let it go, and Wu Mingze then wrapped it around his shoulder and scooter close to her.

For some reason, she remembered the pounding rhythm her heart made. She couldn't understand why this feeling was coming back to her now.

She was soon awakened from her thoughts when she heard Li Chyou ask Feng Yichen and Zhu Haoran if they were cold and wanted to share a blanket with her. Zhu Haoran didn't take a second to agree and wrapped the blanket around him. Li Chyou continued to look at Feng Yichen, who hadn't answered her. She gently nudged the blanket toward him, her cheeks turning pink as he took it and wrapped it around himself.

The last firework was lit, and Xiaodan soon felt Wu Ming Feng was oddly leaning more weight onto her. She glanced down and saw he was fast asleep. He nuzzled his head into her side before lowering his head to her lap as if it were a more comfortable spot. Xiaodan smiled and adjusted the blanket to cover Wu Ming Feng properly, then she gently patted his head.

Wu Mingze noticed his little brother sleeping and was about to wake him, but she immediately stopped him.

"Shh," she placed her pointer finger on her lips to Wu Mingze, "Let him sleep. It's very late now, he's tired."

"Alright, just let me know when you are tired. I can wake him up and take over," he said. Xiaodan just nodded her head, but she didn't mind it.

Finally, the spark from the fireworks started to dim and go smaller and smaller until it completely died.

"Alright, let's head back," Zhu Haoran said, standing up and stretching his arms out. While everyone stood up and started to clean up, Xiaodan got up and quickly lifted Wu Ming Feng in her arms before placing his head on her shoulder without waking him up.

"I can carry him," Wu Mingze said too late and tried to take him.

"It's okay. I got him," Xiaodan said, trying to fix the blanket to cover him again.

"Are you sure?" he asked, fixing the blanket as well.

"Yes, don't worry about it," she said with a smile as Wu Mingze kindly fixed the blanket for them, and she nicely wrapped her arm around Wu Ming Feng.

"You should go help the others clean up," she said as he was hesitant to leave her.
