Reds pov:
Evan fell asleep next to me while our hands were intertwined
I fell asleep too but I just woke up to my mom opening the door and thankfully she walked right back out
What will he think of me tomorrow morning, will he stop talking to me, think I'm some frea- wait didnt he say he cuts too, but I haven't seen them so I don't know if he actually does
I looked down at our hands and was about to pull his sleeve up just a bit but decided otherwise cause I would be mad if he did that to me
I laid my head over his chest and hugged him while trying to fall asleep
"Red?"
"Mhmm"
"Can I stay for the rest of the night"
"U-ugh su-sure"
He lazily chuckled with his eyes closed and said
"I'm not forcing you to let me stay"
"I know... I really want you here" I didn't stutter. Yes!
"Ok then, lets go ba-"
"Red! Are you sleepi- who is this boy" my dad said while opening the lights
"Evan, what on earth are you doing in my daughters room!"
He immediately jumped off the bed and said
"Sir uh I was just uh tal-talking to her"

"Why!"
"Be-because-"
"Because we're friends dad, or are you gonna tell him he can't hang out with me either"
"Your damn well right I'm not letting a patient of mine hang out with my daughter!"
"Why not dad!"
"Because he has a mental illness and I don't want any of that near you!"
What mental illness
"Evan... what illness" I whispered
"It-its nothing" he said looking down
"Dad can you please get out"
"No! Not until he leaves"
"I'm leaving right now sir, can I just talk to her alone for a second"
"N-"
"Yes sweet heart you can, I'm sorry about him- now come on lets give them some privacy" my mom said while basically dragging my dad out of the room"

Finally
"I'm sorry about him, u-um I ca-can ask my mom t-to let you sta-stay" fuck my stuttering its not time for it right now
"No its ok, I should leave now" he came closer and engulfed me into a tight hug
"Goodnight" he faintly said while giving me a kiss on the cheek
"G-goodnight"
As he left I heard my mom lead him out and wish him a goodnight
I am in trouble by my dad, but I dont give a fuck as of right now cause my heart is beating so fast right I just need to lay down for a second
As I laid down Evans cologne came into view and a huge smile crept onto my face. He's prob-
"Red!" My dad yelled
I quickly sat up and covered the bandages with my sleeves
"Yea dad?"
"You are never to speak with him again, and I'm not giving you a reason"
"Then I'm gonna continue talking to him" I stubbornly said
"No you will not!" He yelled at the top of his lungs
"Wh-where's mom" I asked
"Outside getting some fresh air"
"You should join her and relax"
He immediately came super close and said
"I'm gonna tell you this one more time and one time only... if I see you with that Evan boy you will be grounded for the rest of the year"
"Then I'm not going to school and that includes home school"
"Red! Stop testing me!"
I know he has a low temper but I'm gonna try anything to let him let me hang out with Evan
"I'm just gonna leave and tell mom that you made me stutter this afternoon and that you're making me lose my only friend"
"No your not- sit down!" He yelled while shoving me o to my bed
"That hurt my arm" I bluntly stated
"Go to sleep"
"No, I have to go see mom"
"No your not go to sleep!" He yelled while slapping my cheek with the back of his hand
I immediately fell silent and tears filled the brim of my eyes

Did he seriously just slap me. He promised he'd never do it again!
"Red.... I-I'm sorry" he said while sticking his hands out for me but I immediately got up and ran to the door frame
"This is why I've always hated you!" I quickly opened my door and ran out to my mom crying
I'm not a brat I just want my dad to get in trouble cause I just really really hate him

Lillys pov:
As we were sitting at the booth Jai was still tense after 10 minutes so I just threw away both our ice creams and dragged him outside
"What's wrong" I asked
"Nothing"
"You know you just wasted 15 minutes of my sleeping time"
"Sorry I'll just drive you back home"
"Oh.. uh ok come on lets go" I replied not thinking he'd actually drive me back home
While driving back he was gripping the steering wheel so tight his knuckles were white
I put my hand on his knee and gave it a quick squeeze
"Are you ok"
"Y-ya" he stuttered out of anger
"Come on Jai what's wrong"
I know you're probably asking why do you care and the answer to your question is 'I don't know' it just seems weird that he's quiet
"You can get out now" he said while parking in my driveway
"Do you wanna come in"
"No its ok"
"Come on just for for a bit"
He stayed quiet for a second then asked
"Can I sleep with you"

As we both walked in together
I saw Steve and Lala sleeping comfortably on the couch
