It had been a few days, at least, since the last time I was dragged out of this room. I had been trying to heal my shoulder, which I was pretty sure was broken or sprained at least. I had been woken abruptly by the same ginger man barging into the room and throwing me over his shoulder. I was not awake for this shit. I couldn't even say anything, I just felt pain shoot through me as he carried me out and along the corridor.
He took me to the same room and I saw the same man that had try to take me that night, Kyle. He was beaten and bruised and there was blood dripping from his temples. He just looked up at me as the man carried me past him. He threw me down onto the floor and told me to sit. I did as he asked. I felt too weak to even stand up at this point anyway. I coughed as I sat there, waiting for something to happen.
It felt like hours had passed while I just sat there with nothing happening, nobody had come in or told me to do anything. It was silent and I was just left there. The room was cold and I found myself wrapping my arms around my body in attempt to keep warm. Just as I was about to stand up to try walking around, the door came crashing open.
The same man from the car came in, by himself. He grinned at me. "Okay, Summer. What I am going to do, is ask you some questions. Based on your answers, I will decide on what happens. Okay?" I gulped before nodding. "Now, I want the truth from you." He tells me with a serious look on his face, masked by his daunting smile. "What happened the night Kyle tried to take you?" He asked me. I just looked at him. "I was walking back to my house." I told him, not bothering to lie.
He smiled at the fact I was answering his questions. "Good, where were you coming from?" "My boyfriend's house." I said, thinking back to Tom. "Who is your boyfriend?" He asked with an intrigued smirk. "I don't have one anymore." True. "Then why did you lie to me?" He asked, annoyed and with clenched jaw. "I didn't lie. At that time, he was my boyfriend. He isn't anymore." I said, defending myself. "Okay, well what was his name?" "Tom." "Well it wasn't him that night then?" "No, he was having a party and I left early." Tom may be a dick, but I don't want him to be involved in something he has no idea about.
This man just kept pacing as if he was thinking. "Can I ask you something?" I asked, braving my voice. As soon as he heard me speak he turned to me with a surprised grin spread across his lips. "What might that be?" He asked, still with that grin on his face. "What is your name?" I wondered. He let out a laugh. "Why do you need to know?" He asked, instead of answering. "Well is there any reason for me not to know? I mean, you are going to kill me aren't you? So why can't I just know your name?" I said, letting out my thoughts. He laughed again. "Smart girl. I will tell you my name then. But I'll let you guess it." He tells me and I furrow my eyebrows. "Can I get a clue?" I enquired. "It begins with an 'E'. Is that good enough?" He said amused. "Eric." He shook his head. "Ewan." "No." "Erm, Edward." "Nup." His smile was getting wider with each incorrect guess.
I thought for a while through all the E names I knew. There was one, but I highly doubt that is his name. "No other names you can think of?" He asks amused by my silence. "There is only one name I can think of." I tell him. "And what might that be?" "Elijah." I told him. His smile widened. "Well done Summer." He tells me. "First person to guess my name correctly." He tells me. "Usually I only give three guesses, but I like you. You do as I ask." He chuckles. "I don't see the point in not doing it." I shrug, telling the truth. "Well I am glad." He tells me as he pulls over a seat to sit closer to me.
He looks me dead in the eyes and I don't hesitate to look right back. His eyes are a vibrant green, rather beautiful, but also full of emotion. "Summer. I must ask you more questions. Is that all you desire to know?" He asks. "How old are you? You can't be that old. I mean, you don't look that old. Unless you are like really altered." I say, not bothering to hold back on my questions now. "How old do I look?" He asks me. "Around 27?" I guess. "You are on the ball now Summer." He tells me with a chuckle. "And do you think that I am rich?" "Yes." I said without hesitation. He wore suits and they were very nice, while the others wore leather or jeans. He was also very well groomed, he must have money, I could tell by just a glance that he was wealthy.
After the questions from me settled down he turned back to his questioning. He asked more questions about myself. "So Summer, I have one last question for you." He tells me after hours of questioning. "Do you know the man that was there that night?" He asked me. "Kyle." I said. His eyes grew angry but he smiled. "No. Not Kyle. The other man. Who is he?" He said, I could sense the tension in his voice as he tried to restrain himself. "I don't know him." I said. This is the one thing I will not answer truthfully. Everything else we have said was the truth, but I will not tell him about Calum.
Elijah stood up and paced around, he was trying to hold back. He ended up throwing the chair across the room against a wall, were it shattered. He charged back to me. "Summer, I thought we were getting to know each other? I thought that you were telling me the truth all this time?" He said to me, I could see the pain and annoyance in his eyes. "I was telling you the truth. I am on the soccer team, I am almost 18, I do have a best friend called Sasha. And my parents are dead. I told you the truth." I said, explaining what I had told him. "Summer. Why won't you just tell me?" "Because I don't know." I pressed the matter, I kept my voice steady and my breathing was only slightly increased due to the fear threatening to spill out of me.
He shook his head and stood up. "I felt like we were getting somewhere. I won't hurt you anymore, but I can't say the same for Gregor." He tells me. My eyes widened and my stomach dropped. The ginger man that dragged me in here, who I now know as Gregor came stomping over to me from through the door. I thought he was just going to drag me back to the other room but when I saw Elijah close the door behind him as he left. Leaving me alone with this massive man.
Gregor grabbed me, picking me up before he threw me halfway across the room. I screamed out in agony. "What is name?" He shouted at me in a thick accent. I remained silent on that part. He stormed over to me again, throwing me against a wall. My face getting full impact. I was groggy and I was scared but I couldn't do anything. "Name!?" He screamed. "Elijah!" I screamed, I wanted him to stop this. I wanted him to take this man away from me. "Wrong answer." Gregor smirked at me. He then slapped my very hard across the face.
This punishment went on for ages, between being thrown and slapped and kicked and burnt at some points. I don't even remember it stopping, I remember as I hit a wall one last time. Elijah never came back in and Gregor never stopped his attacks. I also never gave up Calum though. That was the one piece of information I wouldn't give up. That name would stay with me. And if I died, at least those horrid people wouldn't get their hands on him.
I saw Gregor approaching me again with a nasty smirk upon his face. I didn't think of the pain though as he came at me. Calum was my last thought, before the darkness took over. Wondering where he was and that he was safe. Safe from these monsters. He must be safe if they kept asking who it was that saved me. I could only hope that he could save me again. This last time. It is all I ask.
