Part 66 - I don't need to worry about them, do I?

The party went by smoothly, only the guys were still here. No other drama happened, unless you count me walking in on Spencer and Luke under Spencer's sheets making out, possibly more, drama. I screamed, covered my eyes and ran out of the room.

When I told Calum about it, he laughed, he didn't just laugh, he cried with laughter and held his stomach at my reaction to the situation. I wasn't happy and so I gave him the silent treatment and waltzed over to talk to my favourite curly headed boys.

"Summer." Harry smiled at me and I grinned back. "Hey Harry. How are you?" I asked him and he just gave me a pout. "I am upset that you have finished school and now I can't make my friends jealous of my hot senior friend. Their words, not mine." He tells me and I laugh. "Sorry bud it had to happen at some point though." I tell him and he nods with a grin. "I know. But anyway, did you have fun at the party?" "It was good. Fun times with some of my favourite people." I admit and he smirks.

"So are you and Cal finally together then?" He asks with a weird voice and my eyes widen at his tone. "Yeah, it's official." I chuckle once I get over his suggestive tone. "Yas. Ash, give me $20." My jaw drops. Did they bet on me? Ashton turns at Harry's voice. "Hey Summer. Why am I giving you money?" He asks Harry with furrowed eyebrows. "They're official." He smirks and Ashton groans. "I thought he was going to wait." He mumbles as he reluctantly grabs money out of his pocket and hands it to his brother. Harry winks as he takes the money and wanders away to talk to Michael who is playing videogames.

Ashton then turns to me. "So how are you then?" He asks and I smile. "Good. Great, actually. Never been happier." I tell him and he smiles. "Leaving school?" "That and..." I trail off as I catch a glimpse of Calum laughing with Luke at a blushing Spencer. Ashton turns and follows my gaze. He lets out a chuckle. "You guys are literally the most well suited couple I've ever seen." I giggle as I turn back to Ashton. "Thanks. He's pretty cute." I grin and Ashton laughs. "I had better get an invite to the wedding." He jokes and I smile at him. He looks at my face as if inspecting it and then he looks at Calum as he watches us. "He doesn't waste any time, does he?" Ashton says and I chuckle as I show him my hand. "He doesn't." He rolls his eyes as he looks at the ring on my hand.

"I hope you know what you're in for." He tells me and I furrow my brows. "What?" I wonder and he giggles. "Calum. He is the most clingy, annoying and hungry man-child ever. Constantly wants cuddles, pizza and pancakes for breakfast, every single day." He explains and I just smile as I feel hands wrap around my waist. "I heard pancakes." Calum says and both Ashton and I let out a loud laugh. "Speak of the devil." I roll my eyes and Ashton joins in. He then looks straight at Calum. "You gave me false information and lost me 20 bucks." He accuses and Calum's eyes widen. "Did you make a bet on me and Summer?" He asks, shocked. "Yes. And I lost said bet to my brother." He pouts.

"What was it?" Calum asks. "I said that you and Summer would be together after two weeks. He said you wouldn't even wait two hours." He reluctantly says. I roll my eyes and laugh. "Boy knows how needy you are obviously." I joke and Calum pouts. I kiss his lips and the pouts turns into a huge grin. "God, you guys are so cute I might throw up." Ashton groans as he turns to walk away. "Love you too Ash!" Calum shouts and Ashton blows him a kiss, which Calum grabs and puts to his heart. "Do I need to worry about that?" I joke and Calum grins. "About my love for Ashton? Nah, but Mikey on the other hand..." He trials off and I roll my eyes. "I can take Michael." I say and he laughs. "Probably. The boy is the most timid creature ever." He chuckles and I giggle along with him.

We walk into the room where everyone is seated and I smile as I look at some of the most important people in Calum and I's lives. "Should we just tell them?" I ask and he looks at me in confusion. "About, you know, the fact I have a ring on my finger? The fact I can no longer sing along to Single Ladies by Beyoncé?" I say and he laughs. "Yeah. Why not?" He shrugs with a grin and I kiss him.

"Guys?" Calum shouts to get their attention. Michael pauses the game and then turns around, the rest of them following suit. They all stare at us with expectant eyes. "We need to tell you guys something..." "If it's that you guys are dating then we already know." Michael rolls his eyes. "Even an idiot could tell." He adds and we just laugh. "Yeah, we're together. But we are also – I still don't know how to do this." I turn to Calum and he just laughs.

"I asked her to marry me." He chuckles and all their eyes widen, other than Spencer and Ashton's. "The fuck bro!?" Michael shouts as he looks at us both. His face is unreadable and then it turns into a grin. "I call best-man!" He shouts and Ashton and Luke roll their eyes. "Obviously! You guys are like bromance." Luke says and Ashton laughs as Michael blushes. "Just because you are jealous of our love!" He defends as he stands to pull my boyfriend – fiancé? I don't know – into his arms. "Ash do you have a bromance with either of them or is it just Michael?" I ask quietly as Ashton comes to give me a hug as he laughs at two of his best friends. "Cashton was a thing for a little while. But it was always those three. It sometimes creeped me out." He shudders at the memory and I laugh. "I won't lose him to one of them, will I?" I joke and he pretends to think about it. "Nah, I think you're safe."

The night went by smoothly and soon everyone had left and it was just Spencer and I left in our house. I turned to look at my brother with a smile and he smiled back at me. "I can't believe my little sister is engaged." He whispers and I chuckle. "To be honest, neither can I. After everything that has happened, I for sure thought I would never find someone. Especially not someone as amazing as Calum." I say with a dreamy look on my face. "I don't know if this is real." I whisper and Spencer looks at me before pulling me into a hug. "It is real Hale. And I am so happy for you. I trust Calum and I know he will take care of you." He places a kiss on my forehead. "And you have Luke." I say and he blushes. "We got so lucky." He says and I agree. "We really did. Thank god for hot teachers, eh?" I chuckle and Spencer bursts out laughing.

We sit there for a while just thinking to ourselves. "I wanted to ask you something Summer." Spencer announces suddenly. I turn to look at him and nod. "I was thinking, I might ask Luke to move in." He says and my eyes widen. "Seriously!?" I near enough shout in excitement. "Yeah. But obviously I wanted to check with you first." He tells me and I laugh. "Go for it! This is so exciting!" I shout again. Spencer laughs.

"So when do you think you and Cal will get married? Are you going to wait a while?" He asks me and I shrug. "I don't know. I think pretty soon. We haven't really talked about it, but I know that I can't wait that long. We really need to talk about it though." I tell him and he smiles at me as he nods. "You'll walk me down the aisle, won't you?" I ask him and his eyes widen and I see them gloss over. "Really?" He asks and I let out a giggle. "Of course. You are the most important person in my life. I need to have you with me." A tear flows down Spencer's cheek and he pulls me tightly into his arms. "Of course I will! You are the only family I have left. I wouldn't let anyone else!" He shouts excitedly and I laugh as I start to well up too. "I love you Spence." "I love you to Summer." He whispers into my ear. "Nothing will ever change that." I tell him as we pull away and Spencer bites his lip as he nods back at me.

After our little chat I go up to my bedroom and change into one of Calum's baggy tee's that he gave me. I climb into my bed after removing my make up. "How did my last day of school turn into something so much bigger and more amazing?" I whisper to myself as I lie in bed and think about how this day turned out. I giggle as I turn over and cuddle into my sheets. "I'm engaged." I say out loud. And I haven't ever been so happy.
