Thank you for your patience! I love you!
Maddie's P.O.V.
"No. Way." I said in disbelief. "But what about all the girl names we settled on?"
Jen smiled and cradled his little body close. "Well, I guess we'll have to think of something."
I looked at Josh, who seemed equally happy. "Did you come up with any other name?"
"Jen wanted to name him after me, but I said no," he replied.
She disagreed. "I like the name."
"You could always use his middle name as the first name," I casually suggested.
"Yes!" Jen glanced at the sleeping baby. "That's it: Ryan."
My brother nodded in agreement, and that was settled. I had given him in name. Well, suggested it.

She remained in the hospital for two more days, just to be safe. Once the baby's vitals were good, they were both released from the hospital.
Jen wasn't like other celebrities, who seem to lose all of their baby weight in two-point-five seconds. Losing all the weight she gained was the least of her problems.
Little Ryan weighed five pounds, eight ounces, and twenty-one inches long, healthy enough for a baby boy.
I didn't see his hair beneath the light blue cap, but once it was taken off, I was able to see it.
I wasn't sure which parent he looked more similar to, but I'd figure that out later, I, like everyone else wanted to enjoy his presence.

They ended up staying at the hospital for an additional three days just to make sure everything, including the vitals, were okay.
But there was only one problem: his room was still very pink. Girly decorations were all around.
They hadn't realized until we all went home and saw it.
"We'll have to do this another time," Josh insisted.
I mean, I was it wasn't so bad. We just needed to repaint the walls and maybe replace some of the furniture, but most of the things in there were white, the rest were a soft pink.
From the moment I first saw Jen cradling the baby close to her chest, I knew instantly that she fell in love with him. It was as if they were inseparable, especially because when I asked her if I could hold him just know, she gave me this look. It was as if she didn't want to let go.
I sat in the rocking chair and she carefully passed him to me.
His tiny body felt warm, and he was asleep for a moment, then his little eyes opened and he yawned.
When a person is this young, just about everything they do is cute. When they grow up... not so much. Nobody wants to see a grown-up make a mess as they chew their food, or if they let out a yawn, or if a burp or fart slipped out.
I didn't want to startle him, so a quiet "Aww," escaped from my lips.
I was left alone in the room. Both parents most likely went down the hall and took a nap. I bet they were both exhausted from the lack of sleep.
I remember learning about how babies enjoy hearing sounds and seeing bright colors. There wasn't many colors to see, so I just started talking to him, telling him all kinds of things. I was even careful when I stood up and walked around the room.
"You have two siblings: me, and my---I mean our brother, Jason. He's... nice, I guess, though he doesn't always talk much. But don't worry, I'll make sure you won't be ignored." I went on and on, simply rambling, and I don't think he understood a word I was saying.
"The doctors originally told us that you were a girl, that's why this room looks the way it does. But that's okay, we all love you anyway." I kissed his little cheek softly.
"Oh boy, when you get older, you are really going to love your parents. Both of them. They're really famous actors and they've been in movies! And the red carpet and---" I stopped myself short. "But you know what? You won't become too exposed to all of that. You'll be at home, right where you belong."
I kept rambling on until he drifted off to sleep.
