I'm sorry it's taking forever for me to update. Depression is a pain to deal with.
Maddie's P.O.V.
Right now I'm riding on the back of Josh's motorcycle, clinging on to his hoodie for dear life.
He was without a doubt speeding, which is making my first experience on a motorcycle a bit unpleasant.
But what's worse was that he would not talk to me. Even when I tried to make conversation, he simply said, "We'll talk about everything when we get home," all serious-like which made my heart thump faster.
Normally, I'm a good girl. The one who usually follows the rules and reads a lot. And yet the one time I try to be "bad," this happens.
I wish Josh would slow down, I'm not ready to go home yet.

When Josh first opened the door, I pushed Logan off of me, like I was repulsed by him (but, in reality, I was far from that).
It was a total shocker, seeing him there.
And it really didn't help that Logan was not wearing a shirt. I think that made things a hundred times worse.
The first thing is shouted was, "What are you doing?"
I---in all of my fifteen years---have never gotten in this much trouble before. Not even with my real mother. But then again, I was young, and not to mention innocent.
I, of course, panicked. Like I said, I pushed Logan off of me. It was almost like a natural reflex.
He put his shirt back so fast, I thought he made a new world record!
I scrambled to my feet and said, "Josh, it was all my fault, okay?" I put my head down. "I already know I'm in big trouble . . ."
Josh tried to stay calm, but the anger in his voice was evident. "We are leaving," he said sternly. "Come on, let's go."
"But----"
"Let's go."
I looked back at Logan.
"Just, let me explain! How much worse can this get?" I said.
"A lot worse if you don't come with me right now."
I looked back and mouthed, I'm sorry, as Josh pulled my back after slamming the door first.
Fortunately, the whole scene wasn't as dramatic, so that's good.
It's just that I knew it was going to be hell when I got home.

"Where were you?" asks Jen worriedly. She gave me a long hug and looked at me in the eyes. "You had us worried sick! You can't just lie to us like that!"
I felt small. They have never yelled at me like this.
"Tell her," Josh ordered. I knew what he meant; tell Jen about what I did. "Go on, tell her what you did."
I sighed in defeat. "I . . ." I could not lie to them again, because now I am officially busted. "I . . . I was with a boy."
She must have knew that already, for she didn't seem too surprised.
"And . . ." I continued. "And . . . We hung out at his friend's apartment. We watched TV most of the time, I swear!"
"Then why did I catch you two doing something else?" Josh presses. Boy, it feels uncomfortable while in the hot seat.
"I'm not lying! Really, we watched TV majority of the time . . . What you saw, well, that literally just happened. We didn't do it or anything, that's just gross."
Jen looked puzzled. "Josh, what did you see?" I hadn't realized she was totally clueless about the matter.
"We kissed . . ." I blurted out. "But only like, once or twice. That's it!"
"We don't want you to see this boy anymore," said Jen. "As punishment, maybe you should switch schools . . . Or, we could move away."
"No!" I shouted. "But that's not fair! Besides, we just moved here not too long ago!"
"We are the adults," Josh added.
"Okay . . . What's my punishment?" I ask nervously.
Jen grinned widely, making me more afraid of what she'll say. "Oh, you'll see."
I swallowed hard.

The chairs are connected to the desks at my school, and first thing in the morning after P.E., I slid into one and took some paper out of my backpack.
I let out an exasperated sigh. When I looked to the left, there was a girl with green highlights doodling on her paper.
When I looked to my right . . . Well, there was Josh, smiling like an idiot. His chin was in his hand while his elbow rested on the wooden desk. I knew he was enjoying this way more than I did.
"Shouldn't you be getting last night's homework out?" Josh asked.
I had to dig into my bag to find it, but eventually I did.
Before Josh and I rode the yellow bus on school, he took my cell phone charger because he says, "Why should I take your phone? What will that do? Taking the charger is a whole lot better."
So I have to make a phone that usually dies in less than a day to last up to a week. I have ninety percent battery left; I really hope it lasts.
When I had to go to P.E. class, Josh actually ran two laps with me around the track and kept saying, "Don't slow down!" I was panting and gasping for air by the end of the first lap. Josh made it both rounds without a problem.
In math class, I work on solving some boring and tedious equations and Josh doesn't pretend he's not there. So far, he's asked all of my teachers how I normally act in their class and they explain it to him.
He's even raised his hand a few times, humiliating me in the process.
Sometimes, the questions are dumb and some students laugh.
One of my female teachers gave us an assignment without explaining it much so she could talk to Josh. But he kept flashing his wedding band/ring to indicate that he wasn't single.
He would have worn pajamas to school and held a cup of coffee all day, but I begged him not to. Following me at school for a whole week was punishment enough.

By the first week of April (my punishment had already ended and my phone ended up dying by Wednesday), my brother and I were told some news. Good and bad news. I was already nervous by the look on their faces. We were all sitting on the sofa in the living room.
"Okay," said Jen anxiously. "I have good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first?"
"Bad news," Jason blurted out, and I silently agreed.
"So the bad news is . . . I have to leave in a few days for a new film called Joy."
My face fell. "Really?"
"Yeah . . . But it's going to be a little hard to make this movie."
"Why?" my brother and I asked in unison. Josh smiled for what seemed like no reason.
"Well, for one, I have to play a mother, and two . . . I'm pregnant!"
