Maddie
I woke up with no answer. I was unsure of how to bring up my crush to my parents.
I had to go to school soon, so I quickly got dressed and brushed my teeth. I put my hair up in a sloppy bun.
I quickly stepped down the stairs and saw the usual: Jen feeding Ryan and Josh making something new today for breakfast. Jason was probably in his room, figuring out what to wear.
“Morning,” Jen said. Ryan smiled, too.
“Morning!” I tell her a little too enthusiastically.
I knew she was in a good mood because she was asked to interview Kim Kardashian tonight.
She is a huge fan of reality shows, and binge watches them often. It isn't surprising to see her plopped onto her bed, Ryan nearby, with one of her shows on the screen. She, too, wants to know if Kylie Jenner is pregnant or not.
“You're in a good mood,” I tell her.
“So are you,” she agreed.
I could tell her right now. Should I?
“So, uh, are you excited for tonight?” I asked. Good job, Maddie.
“Always am,” she said as she picked up Ryan's sippy cup that he dropped. He likes to throw it on the floor and she gets it for him every time. It's like his little game.
She and Josh gave each other a certain look. I didn't understand it.
“Oh, and didn't you meet Kris Jenner that one time?” I brought up the time Jen had been found naked in Kris's closet.
“I met her before that,” she answered.
The Kris Jenner incident happened a few weeks ago. Jen had some time off and Kris invited her for dinner. The rest of us hadn't mind that we weren't invited. As long as she explained everything that happened, we didn't mind that she went. They started drinking cocktails and they had so much fun together. They ended up in Kris's closet. Jen wanted to try some stuff on. Jen tried on Kris's black Tom Ford sequin dress.
