Chapter Theta
Beta and Epsilon heard a loud crash from behind them and quickly turned back. They saw a man picking up a table with ease and holding it over his head. He threw his hands back and brought them forward, throwing the table across the room with surprising speed. Epsilon dove to the side, covering his head with his hands. The table stopped in mid air in front of Beta's out stretched hand.
"Coward," Beta said to Epsilon.
"Well, I have a plan," Epsilon said slowly disappearing, starting at his feet and slowly crawling up to his head. He ran up to the man and jumped at him. It felt worse than hitting a brick wall. He wasn't going anywhere but he was going to try to bring him down. The man swung his arm and Epsilon flew across the room, denting the wall he collided with.
"That was your plan?" Beta asked. Epsilon reappeared and shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, whats your plan?" Epsilon asked. Beta raised her eyebrows as if to say, 'This.' She raised her hand up and brought it forward, pushing the air in front of her. The man was pushed back but he held his ground. He was pushed back only a few centimeters. The man smiled a bit.
"Nice try," he said in a deep voice. "Doesn't work on me." He said and charged at them. Epsilon dove, pushing Beta out of the way as the man threw a punch right where she was standing. His fist flew through the wall several meters. He pulled it back out, pulling chunks of broken bricks and cement down.
"What do we do? What do we do?" Beta asked casually, in the tone that suggested that they were wondering what to do on a Friday night.
"If at first you don't succeed, " Epsilon said running straight at the man. He jumped in the air, flipping over the man grabbing him on the shoulders and tried to pulled him down. It was exponentially harder than Epsilon had thought. He pulled down all his weight on the man but only caused him to stagger slightly. The man reached behind him and grabbed Epsilon around the shoulder. He picked him up with one hand with no effort at all and threw him across the room nearly hitting Beta and denting the wall behind him.
Epsilon slowly got up, dusting bits of the wall off of him. He stood up and cracked his neck.
"I don't know how many more of those hits I can take," Epsilon said walking up behind Beta.
"Well then we better take this 'thing' out quick," Beta said.
"Problem is that neither one of us can even move it," Epsilon said with a sigh. The man sneered at them.
"Maybe," Beta thought projecting her thoughts to Epsilon. He slowly turned his eyes, fully understanding.
"That could work," Epsilon thought while Beta heard it in her own head.
"On three," Beta said aloud. It was a code of theirs, invented when they were stuck fighting for their lives. Epsilon knew exactly how to respond.
"1..." Beta started.
"3" Epsilon yelled and ran at the man, he was momentary confused but by the time he recovered, Epsilon has already run across the room and jumped in the air, extending his legs and kicking him square in the chest. To Epsilon, it felt like he was kicking a train moving full speed at him. The man didn't show any signs of physical pain but he took too steps back, briefly losing his balance.
Beta didn't waste any time. She swiftly extended both of her arms as if she was pushing an invisible box in front of her. She was channeling all the energy around her and focusing it in front of the man and throwing it with her body and mind straight at him. The man flew backwards flying at a rapid speed through the stage curtain and against the far wall, crumpling to the ground.
Omega had felt a break in the air around him. It was a very light breeze, something a normal human wouldn't be able to feel. But he could. He knew exactly what it meant too. With out looking, he could sense something flying though the air at his position. Its how he was trained. Knowing how to see with out seeing as they called it. Omega could 'see' Alpha lying on the floor, even though his back was to him. He was the only one, besides Beta, who could sense Epsilon when he was invisible.
Omega promptly took a step backwards and right as he did so, a large man flew past him, crashing into the wall. Omega didn't even turn his head to look. He could feel a heartbeat vibrating through the floor from the man across the room s
o he knew he was still alive but couldn't be bothered with that now, he had more pressing issues to deal with now.
He eyed down his opponent. She had, apparently, chosen him to fight. Omega couldn't help but wonder why. She hasn't said a single word since they attacked but Omega could see it in her eye that she wanted to fight him. Omega just didn't know why. He was intrigued. This would be a good fight.
"Ladies first," Omega said, nodding to her. She cocked her head as if to say 'This should be interesting.' She shifted on her left foot and rotated her body. It was a very subtle movement but Omega caught it. She disappeared and reappeared in front of Omega with her foot rotating around as if to kick, but Omega had already planned for that. He raised his arm, blocking the kick with his forearm.
She took a step back and tried again, shifting on the other foot this time. Omega could have felt it with his eyes closed. She kicked around but at the last second, moved with lightning quickness around Omega behind him. He didn't have much time to react as she swung her leg at him. He ducked under the kick, pushing up on her leg above his head. She fell backwards but didn't go down. She landed on her hands and sprung around facing Omega again.
"She's had some serious training," Omega thought. "Someone who can fight like that against someone who has had as much training as I have. I can't underestimate her."
She ran forward with blurring speed. Omega barely had time to move out of the way before she swung a punch at him. He jumped back, landing a few feet away from her. She reacted quickly and turned, running at him again.
She seemed to posses superhuman speed. Omega could barely sense her footfalls as her feet glided smoothly and noiselessly at a very rapid pace. She had the fastest reaction time he's ever seen. Everything about her was quick. Omega couldn't let his guard down for a moment.
She ran at him again then bent down and swung her leg to try to trip Omega up. He jumped up in the air but before he could land again, she was already standing, throwing out her arm to hit him. Omega kicked the arm away and brought down his own arm to counterattack. She quickly blocked it with her other hand, pushing Omega's away and opening area of attack. She didn't hesitate and took the shot.
She quickly extended her arm, palm out, shoving Omega. The momentum and speed of her arm transferred to Omega and sent him spiraling backwards. He righted himself and landed on his feet, crouching to distribute the pressure of the fall.
"No one has ever been fast enough to do that," Omega thought, shocked. He had never lost a fight or even come this close. "Except." He thought, then his eyes grew wide with shock. He ran up to her throwing out a jab to attack from the side. She quickly blocked it, leaving her other side open. Omega spun her foot around, connecting it with her back. He kicked down, pushing her down and pushing off of her. He flipped over her, grabbing her mask and landing silently in front of her.
She slowly looked up at him. Omega's eyes grew wider. It was a face he hadn't seen in over two years. It was the same, except a little older and a tattoo of a heart on her eye. Other than that, there was no mistaking it was her.
"Theta?"
No, i didn't plan this chapter to be called Theta. It just sort of happened.

Titans (Outdated)
ActionTotally outdated version of the Titans series. All three books (Four counting the first has been written twice) I would recommend reading the newer version. Link: http://www.wattpad.com/2486348-titans-read-first-prologue/intro
