One of my friends recently moved to America from Greece and we were attempting to explain Halloween to her.
Grecian: I don't really get Halloween.
Friend: You go to strange people's houses.
Friend 2: In costume!
Friend 1: Yeah, and usually in the dark...
Me: You basically do one day a year what you're never supposed to do. You go up to strangers and take their candy.
Grecian: You have no idea how weird this sounds to a non-American.
