13: New Years Eve

Just wanted to post a quick one shot before the end of 2016. Happy New Years to all my readers, you're awesome. ❤

Oka Ruto x Shin Higaku:

Darkness surrounded the pair sitting outside on a hill overlooking the city. It was getting closer and closer to midnight. They sat together looking at the stars that filled the night sky. Shin looked down at the hand next to his, then up at the owner of the hand. The person next to him was Oka Ruto, leader of the occult club and the girl who Shin had a crush on. He moved his hand closer to her's, startling her slightly when they touched.
"The stars are really pretty." She said, blushing a little. He nodded his head slowly, a small smile on his lips.
"Not as pretty as you." He murmured quietly, almost hoping she wouldn't hear him. He looked at her face, which was reddening by the second. It was so obvious she had heard him. He looked at the watch on his hand, 11:59. Midnight would arrive at any second.
"5...
4..." She looked at him a little, confused. Then she remembered the new year countdown.
"3...
2...
1...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!" They both shouted, laughing. He loved the way her laugh sounded. He suddenly kissed her on the lips as fireworks could be heard. She was surprised at first, but soon kissed him back. He was almost disappointed when he had to pull back for air.
"What was that for?" She giggled innocently, her cheeks almost as red as some of the fireworks. He blushed also, looking out towards the fireworks.
"I love you, Oka." He said, letting her hand go and putting his arm around her. She rested her head on his shoulder, watching the fireworks.
"I love you too, Shin." She whispered, smiling. He rested his head on her's and smiled, happy to have Oka by his side.
