90: What Comes Around

Prankster! Yui Rio x Yuna Hina:

"Prank? Just a prank? You've taken it too far this time, Yui!" Yuna snapped, looking at the redhead in front of her. A small tear was running down Yuna's cheek as Yui looked at her, sad and confused. "Why would you even do that?" She snapped, sadness evident in her voice.
"I thought it would be funny." Yui sighed, dropping her head so she was looking at her shoes. Yuna's sadness turned into anger as she stared at her girlfriend.
"Funny? Are you insane?" She snapped, stepping back. "You know what, no. No. We're done. Don't ever talk to me again." Yuna snapped, walking away from Yui. She sighed and sat down on the floor. She didn't mean to make Yuna so mad. It was just a harmless prank that went way too far. Yuna hated her now. Tears started to stream down her face as she loudly sobbed.

"I can't believe she did that." Koharu said as Yuna told her friends what had happened with her and Yui. The others agreed. Yui had a tendency to go too far, and this was no exception.
"That's awful." Mei added, putting her arm around Yuna comfortingly. Just at that moment, Yui walked into the courtyard and towards the group of social butterflies.
"Sorry, Yui. You can't hang out with us anymore." Kokona said as Yui joined them. The others except Yuna nodded their heads in agreement.
"You keep going too far with your stupid 'pranks' and we're afraid someone's going to get hurt." Koharu added. Yui felt more tears fill her eyes. Now all of her friends hate her, not just her ex-girlfriend Yuna. She didn't mean any of her pranks to go too far, she really didn't.
"I'm sorry." Yui murmured, running away before she started crying in front of them. She passionately hated crying in front of people. The others watched her leave, feeling a little bad.

Over the next few weeks, Yui became depressed. Nobody would talk to her, as they considered her 'dangerous'. It was only supposed to be harmless, she really didn't mean to take anything as far as she did. It was an accident, yet people were scared of her. She hated it. She hated herself for it.

That day after school, she held a note in her hand. It was addressed to Yuna. Her hands shook slightly as she posted the note into her locker before running away towards her home.
Yuna went to her locker before cooking club and found Yui's note. Yui had been kicked out of the cooking club, as she was deemed a 'hazard' in the kitchen. She opened the note and read it to herself.
I'm sorry Yuna. I really am. I didn't mean to take it too far, I never did. I wanted to tell you I'm still in love with you. I never stopped. But I can't live in this world anymore. It's too cruel. I've grown to hate this place. I only tried to make people laugh, but I never did. I only made them angry. That's why I'm leaving this place. I'm sorry, Yuna, but it's not worth it anymore.

Yuna didn't know what to do. Part of her didn't believe Yui's note, but the rest of her did. It sounded so serious, and she hoped Yui wouldn't joke about suicide. She decided to go to Yui's house, just in case. She didn't want to hear Yui actually did it tomorrow. She still cared about Yui deep inside, even if she refused to show it.

Yuna ran into Yui's bedroom, and found her lying awake in her bed. She had an empty bottle of anti-depressants on her bedside table, but Yuna didn't see this.
"I got your note. I thought you'd killed yourself. I was actually worried about you." Yuna snapped, assuming Yui was completely fine. Yui looked over at the blonde in front of her, her cheeks stained with tears.
"Y-you were?" She asked hesitantly. She was convinced everyone hated her. Yuna nodded her head and sat down on the edge of her bed.
"Of course I was worried. I hate you so much, yet I still kinda care." She admitted. Yui felt more tears running down her cheeks as she sat up and wrapped her arms around Yuna.
"Stay with me, please?" Yui begged, sadly. Yuna sighed and laid back on the bed with Yui.
"I'll stay." Yuna promised as Yui's eyes drooped shut. Yuna sighed and closed her eyes. Yuna was completely unaware of why Yui wanted her to stay. The redhead had downed all of her anti-depressants, which was half the bottle, before Yuna had arrived. She almost didn't want to die alone if she had successfully overdosed. Both girls closed their eyes and fell asleep, only Yui never woke up.
