Oka Ruto x Shin Higaku:

Shin looked up from his book, and saw Oka stood in the centre of the room like usual. Something seemed off with her, like she was on edge. Shin wanted to get to the bottom of it, find out what was troubling his childhood best friend and crush.
"Oka." He quietly called her over to his chair, putting the book down. She walked over to him a little hesitantly. He pulled her on to his lap, gently hugging her. "What's wrong?" He murmured. She shook her head.
"I'm fine, Shin." She told him. She put a fake smile on, acting like she was ok even though she wasn't. She felt like someone was watching her every move, and they wanted to hurt her. He didn't seem convinced, but he'd known Oka long enough to know she wouldn't say anything else until later when they were alone.
"Ok." He said hesitantly, lightly kissing her forehead. They weren't in a relationship, but he always did that. She didn't mind. "If anything is bothering you, tell me immediately. You know how I worry about you since..." He cut off. Neither of them liked talking about it. She nodded her head, smiling.
"I'm fine, Shin." She told him, giving him a hug. He hugged her back, almost wishing she didn't have to let go. She stood up and returned to her normal position in the middle of the room. Minutes later, the door opened, and a girl with a dark ponytail walked in.
"May I speak with you in private, Oka?" She asked. The club leader nodded her head slowly and hesitantly, before following the girl outside. Shin didn't want her to leave, as part of him really didn't trust the dark haired girl known as Ayano.

Ayano pulled Oka into the storage room before shutting the door behind her. Oka looked at her, confused and a little intimidated.
"W-why did you bring me in here?" Oka stuttered. Ayano smirked, locking the door behind her. She turned to face Oka, her face cold and emotionless. Her stare intimidated Oka greatly. She forcefully shoved Oka to the floor, before straddling her so she couldn't escape.
"Shh. Go to sleep." Ayano hissed threateningly, pulling out a needle from behind her back. Oka desperately tried to struggle as Ayano pinned down her arm and injected the tranquilliser into her. She continued struggling until the tranquilliser took full effect. Ayano smirked and placed Oka's unconscious body into the music case Info-chan had left her and dragged it out of the school grounds.

Ayano walked down the stairs to her basement. All she could hear was screaming and crying from Oka. She pushed open the door and marched over to the smaller girl. She was tied to a chair, the ropes so tight they hurt when Oka moved slightly in the chair. That didn't stop her screaming or struggling.
"Shut up." Ayano snapped, slapping her victim hard in the face. She whimpered in pain as Ayano smirked. She pulled Oka's hair up so she was looking at her. "So, you have a crush on Taro Yamada, correct?" She growled. She raised her fist, ready to punch her victim if she lied. Oka quickly nodded her head and closed her eyes. "You also wanted to summon a demon, right?" Oka nodded again, scared for her life. Ayano growled, pulling out a small knife from her pocket. "Liking Taro summoned the worst demon imaginable." Ayano smirked, referring to herself. She rolled down one of Oka's stockings, before carving a pentagram shape into her leg.
"Stop! Please! It hurts!" She kept crying, begging and screaming at her kidnapper, who didn't care. Ayano didn't stop there as she continued to torture Oka for the next 18 hours.

The next day, Ayano returned to the basement, carrying a medium sized glass filled with an unknown substance. She looked at her victim, who was twitching as her sanity was less than half. She looked at Ayano, her eyes showing the fear inside.
"No... not again..." She murmured sadly, looking down and bracing for more torture. Her body was already littered with cuts and bruises. Ayano didn't say anything, and her stone face didn't change, as she walked over to Oka with the glass in her hand.
"If you drink one small glass of concentrated acetic acid, you will be literally burned inside within 1-2 days." Ayano said monotonously, as though she was reading from a text book. Oka shook her head in shock and fear after realising what was in the glass in Ayano's hand. Ayano wasn't phased as all. She calmly forced Oka's head back so she was looking at the ceiling. "Let's see how quickly a medium glass can burn." She smirked a little as she forced Oka's mouth open and started tipping the acetic acid into her mouth. She didn't stop until the glass was empty, making sure Oka couldn't move her head at all and every last drop of acetic acid went inside Oka's mouth. Once the glass was empty, she put it on Oka's lap, still keeping her head facing the ceiling. She then took a piece of material she'd tied around her ponytail and tied it around Oka's mouth. That way, she wouldn't be able to vomit out the acid. Ayano laughed evilly as she continued torturing her victim until she was a broken mindslave.

Shin was desperately worried for Oka. He hadn't heard from her since that day in the occult club when Ayano had wanted to speak with her. Nobody had heard from her since. He was so scared she was dead, or in serious danger, especially after what had happened in the past. He was almost instantly relieved when he saw her when he walked into the school. He didn't notice the bags under her eyes were darker than usual, and her pale body was littered in bruises and dried blood.
"Oka!" He shouted, running over to her. She didn't react to him. That was when she was approached by Ayano, who had seen Shin running over to her. Ayano picked her up with ease as Shin reached them. "Oka are you ok?" He asked. She didn't respond.
"I'm taking her to the nurse, don't worry, Shin." Ayano assured him, before carrying her victim back into the school building. Shin had no choice but to allow Oka to leave with Ayano, even though he really didn't trust her. She hadn't been in school the past few days, same as Oka, and Shin was convinced there was a link.

Shin stood in the courtyard, sighing as cherry blossom petals fell around the students. It was the most heavily populated area of the school. Oka walked into the courtyard holding the ritual knife. Shin didn't see her.
"I'm worthless." She murmured quietly to herself. Nobody heard her. She raised her knife to her neck, and that was when she started getting everyone's attention. Shin froze in shock as he realised Oka was in the courtyard too.
"Don't do it!" Shin shouted, seeing what she was going to do. Oka ignored him. He could only watch in horror as she put the knife into her neck. Her blood splattered everywhere as she pulled out the knife and collapsed to the ground. Dead. Shin dropped to her body and sobbed. His best friend was dead.

He couldn't stop her this time.
