170: Even if we have a different world I will always love you

Male! Megami Saiko x Angel (crystalline_rocker ):

"I'm so sorry, it cannot be." Megami sighed, looking at Angel. He did care about her, but he knew they could never be together. His family would never approve. The Saiko family was vastly wealthy, but Angel was of average wealth.
"No... its fine. I will love you anyway, Megami." She told him, masking the frown with a smile. She'd had a crush on him for a while, but deep down knew that they could never be together. He'd unfortunately confirmed that. He thought for a moment, sighing a little.
"Maybe... if nobody else knew... we could, maybe, be together..." he suggested. Her eyes lit up a bit as she nodded her head.
"I won't tell." She smiled a little. He also smiled as he looked around himself. Seeing they were alone, he gave her a hug and a kiss on the forehead. She blushed as she cuddled him back.

They successfully kept their relationship secret for just over a year. She mostly kept to herself, and he was almost perfect at hiding secrets. When they were alone, they were romantic and flirtatious towards each other. He really cared about Angel, even though he knew he would have to one day break her heart. That day was coming soon.

"Angel, I have something bad to tell you." He said a little sadly. She looked at him, confused. She had a small idea of what he was going to say, but she wished he wouldn't. She wished he didn't have to. "I have been betrothed. I marry on the weekend." He seemed upset, as was she. She nodded her head slowly, knowing this would eventually happen.
"T-that's ok... I understand... I knew this day would come." She felt tears running down her eyes. He brushed them away, keeping his hands gently rested on her cheeks. "Do you know who you're marrying?" She asked hesitantly. He didn't know how to physically respond to that.
"I haven't met her. I don't meet her until the big day on Saturday. All I know is her name is Cupa." He frowned. She nodded her head slowly. She knew who Cupa was, and knew she was from a very wealthy family. It seemed almost natural that they would be betrothed to each other. "I'll always love you, even when I have a wife." He told her gently. She nodded her head sadly, reaching up and kissing him. She knew that was the last time she could kiss him like that, and she never wanted it to end.

Angel sat at a chair watching the newlyweds perform their first dance. She wished it was her dancing with Megami, but it could never be. She knew that. She made a small sigh, realising she would always love him. Even in a different world she would still love him.
