176: I Like Her

Amai Odayaka x Asu Rito:

Amai and Asu had been best friends for years. They had grown up together. Over the years, Amai had developed feelings for her best friend, even though she was dating Haruto. Amai didn't really approve of him, but she didn't say anything because he seemed to make Asu happy.

She parked her bike outside the house and hesitantly knocked on the door. A minute later, Asu answered the door. She gave her best friend a hug before allowing her into the kitchen. Sat in the kitchen also was Haruto. Amai wasn't too happy to see him, but she didn't let it show. He got up and headed for the bathroom, giving Asu a kiss on the cheek as he left. Asu sat on the counter and lit a cigarette.
"Want one?" Asu asked, holding out the box to Amai. She looked at her with slight confusion. Asu laughed a little, giving her the half smoked cigarette she'd been smoking. Amai awkwardly smoked it, earning laughter from Asu.

"Cannonball!" Asu shouted as she jumped into the pool in the back yard, feeling the cool water on her body. Amai, who was already in the pool, watched and giggled a little while Haruto sat shirtless on a sun lounger nearby. He was a little jealous of how close Asu was to Amai.

That afternoon, more people started coming to the house. Asu had decided to throw a house party. Amai knew about this, and Asu had wanted her to come a lot earlier so they could spent time together before everyone else arrived. They were sat on the sofa talking while others had their own conversations around them. Asu felt someone grab her wrist and pull her up off the sofa. It was Haruto. He let her wrist go and began to passionately kiss her from behind.
"Not now, babe." She told him, pushing him away from her and sitting back down with Amai. He made a low growl before walking away to talk to some of his friends.

As the party wound down to a close, Asu and Amai sat at the edge of the pool with their legs dipped in it. They looked into each other's eyes for a moment, and that's when Asu realised. She loved Amai more than she had ever loved Haruto. They smiled and blushed a little, beginning to close the gap between their lips. Before they could kiss, they were interrupted by an angry voice.
"Are you fucking serious?" He demanded, shoving Amai away. Her head hit the side of the pool, making it bleed a little. Haruto forced Asu up and began to yell at her. She looked down, realising sadly that he had caught her cheating. "How dare you, and with her! Don't even say anything." He stopped as he was tackled to the floor. Asu looked up as saw Amai on top of him punching him repeatedly. Asu tried to contained her laughter as she got Amai off of him. He stood up and left immediately, knowing their relationship was over. Asu and Amai looked at each other before finally closing the gap and kissing.
