47: Dark Nights

Supana Churu x Daku Atsu:

The sky above Supana's head was dark and empty. The stars weren't out that night. At least there wasn't any clouds or rain. Supana wrapped her arms around herself as a cold breeze crossed her. She was walking home from the school and the occult club. They'd tried and failed to summon a demon. Most of the club had given up hope on succeeding, but they still tried to please the club leader. She was one of the sweetest students in the whole school, none of the club had the heart to tell her they didn't think they could do it. She sighed as she felt another cold breeze as she continued pushing forward. She lived several miles away from Akademi, and had to walk there and back. Her legs hurt but she had to keep going. She was at least half an hour away from home. That was when she heard a voice.
"Supana!" She turned around and saw Daku walking towards her. They were best friends, and had been for years. She smiled, relieved to see a familiar face.
"Daku? What are you doing here?" She asked as he gave her a friendly hug. He shrugged his shoulders as they walked together.
"I missed my bus, so I have to walk." He admitted. She laughed a little, making him pout. As she laughed, she felt a slightly noticeable pain in her legs. He noticed as she gasped slightly. "Are you ok?" She nodded her head.
"Yeah. Just a little pain in my legs." She sighed. She didn't want him to worry about her.
"Don't worry. I'll save you." He shouted jokingly, picking her up bridal style and running a few feet down the street while she shrieked with laughter.

They didn't head home that night. Instead, they went to a park, which was now empty. Neither of them felt like going home quite yet. They laid down together on a small hill looking at the empty sky. They didn't care that they couldn't see any stars, they just enjoyed each other's company.
"What would you say if I confessed my feelings for you?" He asked boldly, instantly questioning his decision. "I mean, I'm not going to confess, unless, of course, you wanted me to." She laughed a little at his awkwardness. Her laughter also made him laugh.
"I'd probably accept." She said, not looking at his blushing face.
"That's good." He said, taking a deep breath. He decided internally to confess right there and then. "Supana... I have a crush on you." He admitted a little too loudly for his taste. She sat up and blushed heavily. She had a small smile on her face as he also blushed.
"I love you, dumbass." She smirked, kissing him passionately on the lips. As they kissed, 2 stars appeared next to each other in the empty night sky.

The next day, Daku sat in his chair in the occult club with his new girlfriend on his lap. He was trying to read, but all he wanted to do was hug her and kiss her. He put down his book and wrapped his arms around her waist, making her yelp in surprise.
"Love you." He said, pulling her closer to him. She laughed a little, turning around slightly and wrapped her arms around his neck in a romantic embrace.
"Love you too." She giggled as their lips met again.
