136: Unexpected Birthday Present

Taro Yamada x Ayano Aishi:

"Happy Birthday, babe!" Ayano nearly shouted as she woke up next to her boyfriend. They had spent the night together before his birthday. He woke up, laughing a little.
"Good morning, beautiful." Taro smiled, kissing her. She blushed and kissed him back. They had been dating for a few months, and were passionately in love.
"What do you want for breakfast?" She asked. He shrugged his shoulders as he sat up a little.
"Anything as long as it's made by you." He smirked playfully. She laughed as she got out of the bed.

As Ayano walked back to Taro's room carrying both their breakfasts, she began to feel like she was about to be sick. This had become a common occurrence in her mornings. She put it down before running into the bathroom to be sick. She began to fear she was pregnant, which was a possibility for her. She almost didn't want to be pregnant, not now. At least the father would be Taro, right? After she was done being sick again she sent a quick text to Info-chan, requesting a pregnancy test to be left in her locker, as they both had school that day.

That lunch, Ayano sat in the bathroom as she used the pregnancy test Info-chan had left for her. She hadn't told Taro, as she wanted to know for sure. She set the test inside her bag to give it time to work as she washed her hands and dried them. She was almost shaking with nerves. She didn't know what she was going to do if she was. Many questions began to fill her mind before she looked at the test. All the questions were silenced when she looked at the test, and they were replace with one word.
POSITIVE.

After school, Ayano waited patiently for Taro under the cherry blossom tree she had confessed her love to him under. She had to tell him she was pregnant. He was the father to the unborn baby, so he had the right to know. After a few minutes, he ran over to her.
"Nostalgic, huh?" Taro asked as he remembered when Ayano confessed. They both laughed for a moment, before Ayano fell serious.
"I have to tell you something. Please don't let it ruin your birthday." She sighed, resting one hand on her stomach. She could feel her baby inside of her.
"Whatever you have to say won't ruin my birthday, I promise." He said, almost laughing. She sighed and pulled out the pregnancy test from her bag.
"I'm pregnant with your baby." She confessed, shaking a little. A small part of her expected him to dump her and run.
"Oh, god. How far along are you?" He asked, worriedly. She shrugged her shoulders as he took the test from her.
"I don't know. I just found out at lunch. I can feel the baby, though." She admitted. Taro took hold of the hand that wasn't on her stomach, sighing a little. He reached out towards her stomach, hesitating a lot.
"May I?" He asked, looking down at her stomach. She nodded her head, gently taking hold of his hand and placing it on her stomach so he could feel the baby. "This is the best birthday present ever." He breathed in complete awe. He couldn't believe it was his child inside Ayano's womb. Sure, neither of them knew what they would do, but they were both looking forward to being parents. Now all they had to do was explain this to their parents.
