Male! Amai Odayaka x Cupa Kurosagi:

"Cupa! You have to try one of these!" Amai shouted to her as he saw Cupa walk past the cooking club. He picked up the cooling rack and ran to the door. She stopped and turned around. She picked up one of the cookies on the cooling rack and bit into it.
"This is a really good Amai." Cupa smiled as she continued eating the cookie. A huge smile and blush appeared on Amai's face, her compliment making him happy. He usually received compliments for his food, but hers meant the most to him. That was because he had a crush on her. A lock of brown hair fell over her eye, which she tucked behind her ear as she smiled.
"Thanks Cupa. What's your favourite food?" He asked. She thought about it for a moment, finishing off the last of her cookie.
"White chocolate chip cookies." She admitted, smiling. She took another cookie from the rack and smiled brightly. "I'll talk to you later Amai." She headed a little bit away from him before she saw Taro standing at the end of the corridor. Amai realised Cupa was dating Taro, and his heart dropped. He watched as she ran over to him and they shared an embrace and a kiss, before walking away. He sighed, not realising that the couple were being watched.

The next day, he saw Cupa approaching her locker, which was right next to his. She opened it and a note fell out of it. She read it to herself silently, hiding the words on the note from the world. Her shoulders slumped down as she put it away and changed her shoes. Amai could tell the note wasn't very nice. He watched as she walked away from the other students. Amai decided to follow her and see where she went.

Cupa walked to the storage room and closed the door behind her. Once she was alone, she sat in a corner at the other end of the room away from the door. She pulled her knees up to her chest and began to cry. She kept receiving anonymous notes, each one telling her she should kill herself. She was scared to tell anyone about the notes because she was convinced that whoever she told would believe they were fake as whoever sent these notes mimicked her handwriting. Amai stood outside the door, debating what to do when he heard the sound of sobbing coming from inside the room. He knocked on the door, startling the girl inside.
"Cupa? You ok?" He called to her.
"L-leave me alone." She said loudly, before the crying continued, only quieter. He pushed open the door, making her look up.
"Come on. Please don't cry." He said, walking over to her. He sat down beside her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, allowing her to cry on his shoulder. "Why are you crying?" She just shook her head as she cried. He sighed a little and didn't say anything else. If she wanted to talk, then she would. He remained still for her to cry on to his shoulder until she stopped and she was smiling her usual smile again.
"Thank you." She sighed, still smiling and wiping the last of her tears and makeup from her cheeks. He smiled and stood up, lending her a hand to do the same.
"I would do anything for my friends." Amai smiled, a little pained by the word friend. Even if it wasn't possible right now, he wanted to be her significant other. "I'll always be here for you. Whatever is making you cry will get better."

But it didn't.

It only got worse.

The notes became a frequent occurrence in Cupa's life. They appeared in her locker, through her letterbox, and sometimes in her school bag. She put on a brave face, but she was dying inside. She had nowhere to turn in her mind. Nobody knew of her struggles except the person sending the notes. As far as everyone knew, she was completely fine.

Amai set the last white chocolate chip cookie on the cooling rack, ready to give to Cupa. He'd promised to make her a batch, but had never done it until now. He looked out of the window and saw something he wished he hadn't. He saw the dead body of a girl lying on the ground outside the window without her shoes. It took him a second to realise the body belonged to Cupa. It looked like she had jumped from the roof. He immediately sprinted to the roof to see if she left a note.

He reached the roof and saw a pair of shoes next to the railing. A letter was attached to the railing next to her shoes. He hesitantly walked towards it and untied the letter. His hands shook as he held the note and read it.
If you are reading this, I am dead. Don't cry for me, I was never worth the tears. I was never worth anything. At least, that was what I've been told so often over the past few months. I never told anyone this, but I'd been receiving notes telling me I'm worthless, that nobody cares about me, that I should just kill myself. I didn't tell anyone, as I was afraid. The handwriting is nearly identical to my own, so I feared that you'd think I was being an attention seeker. I never let my feelings show, so you couldn't know I needed the help. Please don't blame yourself. There wasn't anything that could be done to save a waste of space like myself.
Taro. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you. I love you, I really do, and it make me sad that my death might make you sad. Please don't be sad forever.
Amai. You've been the nicest boy at Akademi. Please don't let my death change that. Keep doing exactly what you do, because you are amazing at it.
I know it's only so long until I am forgotten, remembered as just another teenage suicide. That's alright. I don't mind being forgotten, it wasn't like I was ever going to become someone.
Cupa Kurosagi.
Amai dropped to his knees and cried loudly. He was in complete shock. The girl he loved died, and he couldn't do anything to help her. He didn't know what was happening, or how much she had grown to hate herself. She never made a cry for help. He felt like he should've known what was bothering her. He should've done something. But he couldn't. It was too late.
