182: Mother's Day

It's Mothers Day, so here's a continuation of 'Unexpected Birthday Present'.

Taro Yamada x Ayano Aishi:

"Happy Mother's Day!" Ayano cheered as she and Taro went into her mother's bedroom. Taro had stayed the night, as this was when they decided to tell their parents about Ayano's pregnancy. Ayano knew her mother would be excited about becoming a grandmother, but they had no clue as to how Taro's mother would react.
"Good morning Ayano and Taro!" She said cheerfully as she sat up in her bed. Ayano sat beside her and gave her a hug.
"Good morning Ryoba." Taro said to her as he sat down at the edge of the bed. Taro had met Ayano's mother before, and she'd insisted he called her by her first name.
"So, what did you get me?" Ryoba asked with a smirk. Ayano gently took hold of her wrist and placed her mother's hand on her stomach, hoping she would understand. "You're pregnant?" She asked after a minute. Ayano smiled and handed Ryoba the envelope from behind her back. She opened it and took out the item inside. It was a scan photo of Ayano's future child. "I'm gonna be a grandma! I'm so happy for you!" She cheered as she hugged her pregnant child. Ayano laughed and hugged back. Ryoba pulled Taro into the hug also, knowing he was the father.

That evening, Taro and Ayano sat at the table next to each other waiting for the opportunity to tell his family about Ayano's pregnancy. They were sat at his finding table with his parents, Hanako and Ayano's parents.
"So, we have something to tell you." Taro announced to the people at the table. He took Ayano's hand as he handed the envelope to his mum to open. She opened it and removed the scan photo before looking up at the couple disapprovingly.
"Taro..." she sighed, not knowing what to do. She didn't want to be a grandmother at this age, but both Taro and Ayano seemed really excited about her pregnancy, so all she could do was support them.

"Taro... I think the baby's coming." Ayano told him, making a groan. It was just after her due date, so it wasn't too much of a surprise. They were sat in her front room, and Ryoba was upstairs.
"Oh god... uhh... Ryoba!" He shouted for Ayano's mother, not knowing what to do. "Ayano's in labour!" He shouted. The older woman sprinted down the stairs carrying Ayano's hospital bag.
"Come on, let's go to the hospital." She told the teenagers. Taro nodded his head and picked up Ayano before carrying her out to the car.

"Congratulations. It's a girl." The nurse told her as she handed Ayano her newborn daughter. They already knew the gender, and had already chosen a name, but they were delighted to finally meet her.
"Hello beautiful." Ayano murmured, completely in awe. Taro and Ryoba huddled around her a little to meet the new baby.
"She's perfect." Taro murmured, giving his new daughter a kiss on the forehead before kissing Ayano. Ryoba was instantly smitten over her granddaughter. "Welcome to the world, Kira."
