46: 2 Lonely Souls

The first one shot I did was actually Ayano x Nemesis, but I got requested to do another by rozy1234 so here you go.

Ayano Aishi x Nemesis-chan:

People aren't meant to be in cages. It does things to them. Nemesis had lived most of her life in a cage. She had grown to hate humanity, and wanted to end it all. She had managed to escape her 'cage' at 15, and had been in hiding for the past 3 years. There was no way she was ever going back. Now, she was sure nobody would recognise her. She decided to come out of hiding and return to education so she could have a better future. She had decided to enter Akademi high school under an alias. Nobody would know of her past, that didn't matter.

As Nemesis walked, she felt the sun on her unhealthily pale skin. She hadn't really seen a street in sunlight for years. She closed her eyes as she walked, feeling the sun beating on her face. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings, so she didn't hear someone running in her direction until they crashed into her from behind.
"Watch where your going." Nemesis snapped, opening her eyes and seeing the girl in front of her. Her dark hair was tied into a ponytail, and her grey eyes stared emotionlessly at Nemesis. She felt her cheeks blush a little as she rubbed her shoulder.
"Sorry." She apologised emotionlessly. "I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?" The girl asked as they both continued walking towards Akademi High school.
"Yeah. My name's Akane Tekitai." She lied. That wasn't her real name, but that was now her alibi. "You can call me Nemesis."
"Ok. My name's Aishi Ayano, but I don't mind if you call me Ayano. I know some people call me Yan-chan, but I'm not so keen on that nickname." She admitted. She looked at the time on her phone and gasped. "Come on, were going to be late." Ayano grabbed Nemesis' hand and dragged her to school. Nemesis hated people touching her, as it only ever used to hurt, but Ayano was different. Even though Ayano was pulling her along with her as she ran to school, she was making sure she didn't hurt Nemesis. She blushed more as they continued running.

(Tekitai means Nemesis in Japanese. That's the reason for Nemesis' name in this one shot.)

At lunch, Nemesis headed to the school rooftop alone. She hadn't spoken to anyone other than Ayano and her teacher, so she didn't have anyone to sit and eat with. Not like she had anything to eat. She had no money, and lived in an abandoned shack in the woods by herself. She sighed before she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw a red haired girl with a pair of matching red glasses standing behind her. On her face was a smirk.
"Akane Tekitai, correct?" She asked, sitting down next to her. She nodded her head.
"Yeah. You can call me Nemesis. What's your name?" She asked the redhead as she pulled a bento box from her bag.
"I go by Info-chan." She said, taking a piece of her bento and eating it. Nemesis looked at the food hungrily. She couldn't remember ever eating decent food. Info-chan saw her eyeing the food, and smirked. "Would you like some?" She asked, offering her a piece of food on her chopsticks. She nodded her head and graciously took the food. "I need to ask you for something." She continued. "I run an assassination business here at Akademi, and I need a new assassin. I promise the pay will be worth it." She smirked, revealing a wad of money she had tucked into the back of her skirt and showing it to Nemesis. Her eyes widened at the sight.
"Deal." She nodded her head, accepting the offer. Info-chan smirked and handed Nemesis the rest of the bento.
"I'm glad to hear. Please meet me at the info club after school to discuss further in private." She said coldly, putting the money back where it came from and walking away. Nemesis looked at the food Info-chan had given her and smiled a little.

After a few months, Nemesis had really grown as an assassin. She was the stealthiest girl at school, but nobody knew that. Nobody even acknowledged her existence until she was eliminating them. Nobody except Info-chan and Ayano. She had grown close to Ayano over the months since they'd met, and Nemesis had developed feelings for Ayano. She had written her a note to the best of her ability asking her to meet her under the cherry blossom tree from the legend. Info-chan had helped her write it, as well as helped Nemesis practise her confession, as she had started shipping them since she found out Nemesis liked Ayano.

She waited for Ayano to arrive nervously. She feared Ayano wouldn't show up. Eventually, she could see Ayano running towards the tree. Her heart began to skip beats as Ayano neared the tree.
"Nemesis? What are you doing here? Did you want to meet me? Ayano asked, confused. Nemesis nodded, her face almost as red as Info-chan's hair.
"A-Ayano. I have a c-crush on you." She stuttered. She looked down at the floor and sighed. She thought Ayano would reject her. She'd probably be humiliated on Monday. Maybe Ayano would assassinate her. She started to cry as every bad scenario played in her mind. She didn't expect Ayano to gently hug her.
"I accept. I love you Nemesis." She said, making Nemesis cry harder. She clung to her shirt, also clinging to the first genuine kindness she'd been shown in her life.
"T-thank you Ayano." She cried. Ayano started blushing as she stroked Nemesis' hair gently.

Meanwhile, Info-chan sat in her room, fangirling because her Akademi High school OTP was now a thing.
