Happy New Year!
Ayano Aishi x Oka Ruto:
Ayano could only watch as her senpai was stolen from her. She was frozen to the spot. Her ultimate nightmare unfolded before her eyes, only this time she wouldn't wake up. This was reality, and it was now too late to win what was her's.
That Monday, she sat on the floor of the school roof alone. She tried not to look over the railing at her senpai and his new girlfriend, it hurt too much inside.
"Maybe I should jump off the railing." She muttered sadly to herself, tears pricking her grey eyes. "I have no reason to live, anyway." She allowed the tears to run down her face as she quietly cried.
"P-please don't cry." Ayano heard a soft voice and looked up to see Oka Ruto offering her a tissue. She took it and wiped her eyes.
"Thanks Oka." She said, laying on her back staring emptily at the sky. Oka sat down beside her, looking sympathetically at Ayano.
"It'll get better... W-whatever's making you sad..." She said comfortingly. Ayano turned her head towards Oka, smiling sadly.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked quietly, refusing to let tears fall. Oka lightly shrugged her shoulders.
"I just try to be nice to everyone. I honestly don't see the point in being mean." She said, standing up. "I-I have to go to the o-occult club now, I'll see you later A-Ayano." She waved goodbye and walked away from her. Ayano watched her leave, feeling a little sadness. Oka had shown her unconditional kindness, something that only Taro had shown her before. Ayano smiled a little, realising she had a new senpai, but this time she wasn't going to lose her. That Friday after school, Oka had found a note in her locker. The note asked her to go to the cherry blossom tree behind the school. She ran as fast as she could, curious to what the mysterious note sender wanted. Her eyes widened a little with surprise when she saw Ayano stood under the tree.
"Oka! You came!" Ayano gasped, a little surprised but mostly happy. Oka nodded her head as she met Ayano under the tree.
"Y-yeah." Oka smiled. "What did you want to say?" She asked quietly. Ayano said nothing, instead handing Oka a white envelope with a sparkly red heart sticker keeping it shut. She opened the letter and read it silently to herself. The letter was a love confession to her. When she finished reading the letter, she looked up at Ayano's hopeful face.
"So... What do you say? Will you be my girlfriend?" Her voice was overly happy and excited. Oka didn't know how to respond.
"Ayano..." She said softly. She looked down a little, letting her hands drop to her sides. "I-I... don't know if I'm r-ready for that kind of commitment... S-sorry..." She said, feeling bad for letting Ayano down. Ayano's face filled with sadness, then turned to stone. She reached into her bag and pulled out a syringe, saying nothing. Oka's eyes widened when she saw the needle. "A-Ayano? W-what are you doing with that?" She stuttered, stepping back. Ayano still said nothing. In a second, Ayano grabbed Oka's arm and injected the substance inside the syringe into her. Oka's eyes felt heavy seconds after, and then she passed out in Ayano's arms.
"Who said you have a choice?" She whispered darkly into the sleeping girl's ear, before picking her up and carrying her away from the tree.Oka's eyelids were still heavy when she finally woke up. The first thing she saw was the ropes tying her to a chair, and concrete floors. She looked up at the unfamiliar stone walls, fear raging through her body. She heard the door close, and instantly looked in that direction. The room was dimly lit, but she could make out Ayano in front of the door.
"A-Ayano?" She asked quietly, her bottom lip trembling in fear.
"You're awake, Senpai." She grinned, walking towards Oka and behind the chair. She silently wrapped her arms around Oka, who was shaking in fear.
"W-what are you doing?" She asked, trying without success to break out of Ayano's embrace.
"Aww. You're so cute when your scared." Ayano giggled. She stopped hugging Oka, instead lightly petting her messy hair. "I didn't want to have to do this, but you gave me no choice." Ayano started to explain. Her voice was cold, with her words only making Oka more scared. "It killed me when people touched you. It killed me when people talked to you. None of that killed me more than when you rejected me, Senpai." She pulled a chair from behind Oka's and placed it in front of her, sitting on it. "That's why you're here. They can't take you from me now." The last part was said darker than the rest, making a small tear of fear fall from Oka's eyes. "Please don't cry." Ayano said softly, wiping the tear from Oka's cheek with her thumb.
"P-please let me go." She sobbed softly as more tears fell from her eyes. Her body was shaking, causing the ropes on her wrists to rub against her bare skin.
"I can't do that. You'll try to run, and you might call the police. I can't have that." Ayano said darkly, shaking her head softly.
"N-no... I won't call the police. I won't run away. P-please let me go." Oka cried, shaking her head and dislodging the tears still in her eyes. Ayano still shook her head, standing up and heading for the door. "How long are you going to keep me here?" Ayano looked back, a shadow covering her eyes. She walked back over to Oka, their faces inches apart. Ayano looked Oka dead in the eye and darkly said 9 words after kissing her on the lips.
"Until you can't stand the thought of leaving me."
