64: Never Alone

Kohai! Ayano Aishi x Yandere! Taro Yamada:

Ayano waited patiently under the cherry blossom tree from the school myth. She had received a note asking her to meet the anonymous sender there Friday after school. That meant someone wanted to confess their feelings to her. Ayano didn't feel anything for anyone except Taro. She hoped it would be him. She wasn't interested in anyone else. A few boys had tried to get her attention, but they had disappeared. She hadn't done anything to them. Eventually, she saw someone sprinting over to her. Her heart skipped as she realised it was Taro.
"Ayano! You came." Taro smiled to her as he reached his destination. Ayano nodded her head, her emotionless face blushing.
"What do you have to say?" She asked, maintaining her usual composure. He also blushed heavily.
"Ayano. I'm in love with you. I want you to be my girlfriend." He confessed, desperate for her to accept. She looked up at him, her usually blank expression now shocked and surprised.
"I accept your confession." She said after a deep breath. Taro's eyes lit up with joy, she had accepted his confession.
"I love you Ayano." He said a little flirtatiously, wrapping his arms around her. "I won't let anyone hurt you. I won't let anyone near you." He murmured quietly. She didn't hear him say that. She just hugged him back, accepting her newfound feelings for him.

That Monday, the first thing she did in school was search for her best friends Kokona and Saki. She had spent the whole weekend with Taro, so she hadn't spoken to either of them.
"Ayano!" She heard Saki's familiar shout as she and Kokona ran over to her.
"Saki! Kokona!" Ayano said loudly to her friends as they all shared a friendly hug.
"Who wanted to confess to you Friday?" Kokona asked as she grabbed Ayano's hand and started pulling her to the courtyard. She had told them about the note when she received it, but hadn't spoken to either of them since.
"Yeah, Ayano. Who was it?" Saki joined in, linking arms with Ayano. She shrugged her shoulders as they reached the courtyard.
"Taro." She said, blushing slightly. Kokona saw this and cheered, wrapping her arms around Ayano.
"I'm so jealous." Kokona pouted jokingly. She used to have feelings for him before Saki confessed her own feelings to the purple haired girl.
"What about me, Kokona. Don't you love me?" Saki whined, laughing a little. They continued laughing and joking around with each other, unaware that Taro was watching them. He was angry someone other than him was talking to Ayano. She was his, not their's.

Taro waited patiently for Ayano, Saki and Kokona to leave the courtyard so he could eliminate Saki and Kokona, hopefully without witnesses. Eventually, he saw the 3 girls heading away from the courtyard. He followed them until they were alone on the rooftop. He took the knife from his back pocket and charged at Kokona, pinning her to the wall with his knife to her neck.
"What are you doing?" Saki asked in shock while Kokona screamed in surprise. Taro looked over at Saki, narrowing his eyes.
"Stay." He growled, making Saki freeze in fear. Ayano felt anger building inside her.
"Taro! What the hell are you doing?" Ayano snapped at him. He paused for a second, turning to face her without making a mark on Kokona.
"They're trying to take you away from me, Ayano. I can't let them do that." He whined at her, trying to get her sympathy. He did not succeed.
"Don't you dare try to isolate me. If you kill my best friends I swear to god." She stood up on the railing, making Taro freeze. "I will jump." She threatened. All 4 of them remained frozen, Ayano staring at Taro while the others stared at her.
"Fine." Taro muttered, letting Kokona go. Ayano stepped back off the railing and gently took the knife from Taro. She put it in her bag and kissed him.
"I love you, Taro. Please stop killing my friends." She sighed to him. He put his arms around her, also sighing. "Please don't try to change me if you love me."
