58: Assignment Partners

This one shot was suggested by ZhezcaTekina Sorry if it's short, I really didn't know what to write.

Juku Ren x Riku Soma:

"... and Juku Ren and Riku Soma." The teacher finished assigning partners for the science project. They both looked at each other and sighed a little. Neither of them spoke to each other, even though they were both teacher's pets. "You have this lesson to plan your experiment that will be conducted after lunch. The rest must be completed in your own time together." The teacher instructed. Students began to stand up from their desks to find their assigned partners once the teacher had done speaking. Juku walked over to Riku's desk and pulled a chair from the desk in front of it and sitting down.
"So. We need to neutralise acids using alkaline tablets." Riku stated once his study partner had sat down comfortably. Juku nodded his head as they both looked at their notes.
"We need to measure the approximate amount of tablets needed to neutralise the acid." He added to what the purple haired male had said. "We should add the tablets one at a time, before taking a sample and using a universal indicator." He suggested. Riku thought over this suggestion before he made his own.
"What if we used a pH monitor instead? Our results will be more accurate that way." He thought out loud, making a note of it. Juku nodded his head. They continued writing and working together until the end of the lesson.

After class, they came back into the room to find the equipment they'd requested on Riku's desk. They set up their experiment in near silence, not knowing what to say to each other.
"I'll take note of the recordings, ok?" Riku suggested as he began to make a table in his notebook. Juku took one of the tablets from the small container with a pair of tweezers and held it over the beaker of acid.
"Do I mix it in or not?" He asked. Riku looked up from his notebook, desperately hiding the blush on his cheeks. He had a crush on his science partner, but always assumed Juku was straight.
"Yeah. That way it will dissolve faster." He said as Juku dropped the tablet into the acid and mixing it with a tiny metal spatula. Once the tablet had dissolved, they waited a minute to get an accurate reading, which Riku noted down.
"Do you want to come to my house after club activities to complete the assignment?" Juku asked as he mixed another pill into the acidic solution. Riku blushed heavily, which he quickly covered with the notebook.
"Yeah, sure." He said smiling behind the notebook. Juku could see he was a little flustered, but chose to say nothing.

The boys sat at Juku's house working on the assignment. They both wanted to do the best they could for their teacher. They finished the assignment, even though it wasn't due until Friday.
"What do we do now?" Riku asked, relaxing a little in his chair. Juku smirked.
"I don't know." He said. He paused for a second before asking the question that was in his mind. "What would you say if I were to ask you out right now?" Riku's face blushed red, making Juku laugh. "Thought so." He leaned across the table and planted a kiss on the purple haired boy's lips. He pulled back, looking at Riku's surprised face.
"How did you know I have a crush on you?" He asked. Juku laughed.
"It was so obvious." He smirked. "So, what do you say?" Riku didn't say anything, his answer came as a kiss on the lips instead.
