This is based on the very first chapter of my Brian x Reader story, but from Brian's perspective.

Q's POV

Today was the day, the day that the new Wonder Woman comic was being released. I've never been so excited for a damn comic book in my life. I'm a straight up nerd, okay? I think the guys could see how antsy I was all day on set, I was talking even more so than usual, they literally couldn't shut me up. As soon as filming had ceased for the day, I was out of that door faster than Superman could fly.

I made my way to my Jeep, getting into the driver's seat. I quickly buckled my seatbelt, before setting off on my way to one of my favourite comic book stores, Comic Sans. Get it? That's a damn clever name for a comic book store if you ask me. I don't get to visit the store often, so it was nice to see the place again.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, I was driving my way to the store, and managed to find a parking space nearby. I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys from the glove compartment of my Jeep, before clambering out, and making my way to the entrance. I was busy scrolling through my phone, reading through some of the reviews, as I approached the door. I placed my hand to the door, pushing it open, with my head still buried into my phone. I felt some resistance against my hand, and heard the sound of the door whacking into something. What it was though, I wasn't too sure. I thought that it was just a stand, but as I looked down to the ground, I saw a woman. My eyes bulged, as I knelt down, running my fingers along her cheek. I must admit, she was a cutie. Her eyes flickered open; and I must say that she had the most gorgeous [E/C] eyes imaginable.

"I am so sorry, Miss. I didn't realise someone was behind the door. Are you okay?" I asked sincerely. I grabbed ahold of her hands, pulling her up to her feet, as she dusted herself off. I could tell that she was still in a shocked state, so I decided to change the subject. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the new comic book clasped in her hands. It looked so beautiful, and so did the girl holding it. "Hey, that's what I came in for, what did you think of it?" I asked, once again receiving no verbal feedback from her. "I'm Brian by the way."

"I'm [Y/N]." The girl shyly responded, she had a cute voice that matched with her nerdy persona. I took ahold of her hand, shaking it lightly to greet her properly. [Y/N] peered down to the comic, as she flipped through the pages. She came to a stop on a particular page, before handing it across for me to look at. I chuckled as I read through the page, this comic was simply marvellous, and I had only read through a single page, I could tell that it was definitely going to be worth the money.

"It looks amazing! I-I guess I'll see you around." I smiled sweetly, my speech impediment getting the better of me – yes, a speech impediment, not nerves, okay. I gripped onto the door handle, opening it up for her, as she ducked underneath my arm and exited, hearing a sweet thank you, as I watched her leave. Immediately, I turned around and made my way over to the Wonder Woman section. I picked up a new copy, before going to pay for it. I placed the comic book onto the counter, as the man scanned it through. He was smiling at me, but in a way that he knew what had just happened. He could tell that I had fallen for the girl I had just whacked with a door.

"She's a goodun', I can tell you that now." He commented, as he slipped the comic into a plastic bag. I nodded my head, as I handed him over the money.

I grabbed the bag, and made my way towards the exit. As I turned to the window, I could see [Y/N] looking through at me. I smiled at her, causing her to blush. Yes, that's right, I caught her checking me out. The Quinn has still got it. I made my way outside, trying to catch up to her to ask for her number, but by the time I was outside, she had gone. I was disappointed, I won't lie to you. She looked like the perfect girl for me, but I guess that I'll never find out. Unless...I thought to myself for a while, before making my way back into the store. The guy, who ran the store, clearly knew her well, so I wanted to see if he could lead me to her.

"Excuse me, Sir. I was wondering if you know where [Y/N]...the er, the girl, where she typically is on a Saturday? I need to see her again." I asked, as a smug smile played on his lips. He leant against the counter, gesturing for me to lean in closer.

"She typically gets coffee at the Coffee Bean. The time varies, but she's always talking about that place." He smiled. My eyes shifted to his name tag, as I thanked him.

"Thanks...Jim." I replied, before making my way home.

Across the next few weeks, I spent every Saturday morning at the Coffee Bean, looking out for [Y/N], but to no avail. Jim did warn me that she could be there at any time of day. It wasn't looking too hopeful for me, well, until Sal and I were in there a couple of months down the line. We were busy talking, when the little bell rang out, as someone stepped through the door. She joined the back of the queue, and I could just tell that it was her. Sal whacked his hand against me, pointing at the girl.

"Dude, go talk to her!" Sal ordered. I sighed, shaking my head in panic.

"I can't, she's too pretty. I could never get a girl like that." I replied. Sal continued to pester me, until I finally gave in to my nerves. I stood from the table, making sure that I looked presentable, before stepping my way over to the girl. This was it, my moment to shine.
